Respect

I'm sorry everybody, but this isn't just the new riders disrespecting the older ones. It seems like there is just a lack of respect for one anothers riding and opinions. If you have the money to get good parts when you just start riding, go for it, it keeps the sport going. Also, if someone is cocky about their riding just let it go. We are all very different people coming from al over the world. Just know that if you disrespect people on here, your'e misrepresenting where ou come from and you will recieve less respect from other riders. So everybody, next time you think about disrespecting someone else or their riding, try to be a little bit nicer. :]

I'm bumping this up because I'm really sick of how people have been acting lately.
People are basically just assholes to everybody. Nobody can ask a question anymore without someone saying something like, "Dude your fucking stupid, that's not right."
I'm really tired of it. Get your shit together people. Stop acting like you were never new on this site. We all were at one time. Click the thing to view all your posts, it's pretty embarrassing. You think, damn, was I really that stupid?
And how did you overcome it? By having other peoples help, and support. Not just their criticism.
Just my 2cents.
That being said. Respect EVERYONE on this site, that you know, that you meet. And you will get respect back.
I hate to say it, but the site is really starting to fall apart.

i see the most disrespect when someone asks a question. a lot of the time, the question isnt even answered until the second page. all you see is "fuck that" "dont do that" "thats gay" "thats retarded" or some other stupid comment. if someone asks a question, answer it. if its common, at the end of your answer, tell them to search next time. dont be a rude asshole about it.

I want to be as much of an arse as I can to anybody who pisses me off. If you're funny and not full of shit you'll find I'm really nice. If you arent like that I hold no respect towards you whatsoever. You have to learn your place around here.

For the OG riders, that's where all of my respect is going. If it wasn't for most of these dudeskis such as Josh Toy, Eric Ostrom, Jarret Reid (yeah, i said it and feel shame too), Brian Boston, Andrew Broussard, Kevin Vannauker, the sport wouldn't be anywhere near what it is today.

You're all mad clowns.

i don't see why you need to put shame beside Jarret Reid's name. the guys a freak. he hadn't ridden in years then at the planet x games, pulled out a full stock pro model and threw big flips and hauled ass all over shit. the guys a freak, sure his sketchy but shiiiiit he throws down biggg and gets a crowd going exposing people to the extreme sport side of scooting.

i defiantly agree with this thread. i went down the park the other day, and some shit little kid was full trying to act like he knew more about the scene than me. i was like wtf are you serious do you know how long i have being riding and being around the scene? haha. so shit.

yea, it seems like theres tons of kids on here posting everywhere and defniitely spending more time on sr than they do riding, they have no footage of them riding basically no evidence they even actually ride a scooter
those kids are so annoying they might know everything about scootering because they spend their life on sr but they suck and dont understand what its all about, riding a scooter

yea....though after the first tic when the whole movement of people doing tricks strictly flyout went to people doing tricks over boxes, down gaps, and so on kevin pioneered that he could do almost every trick he knew over tics old big box/ biggest spine and nobody could even touch that back then

Eh, i always pictured Jesse being the true TIC pioneer but thats just my opinion. I definately see what your getting at <3.

i ride alone all the time, only because i have to. the only few times a year i get the chance to ride with dylan and dibbs etc., i feel privelaged. you new kids need to respect everyone so you can get the same chance i did, and now have. because of riding with dylan, bk and matt, i am a better rider.

r-e-s-p-e-c-t find out what it means to me. lol

I'm basically the only dedicated scooter rider in my town. I cruise around with the BMX rats, sometimes with my brother and a skater dude. I respect them all.

The older BMX guys... There's only about 2 I kinda respect. They clap or "yeah!" when I do a good trick, sometimes we have a chat. The rest are all up themselves. I don't care how good they are at riding. One of them had a minibike at the bowl yesterday and ran over my scooter twice. I didn't do anything to him. He just dislikes me for the sake of disliking me.

As for people I don't know... I'll just bust a few moves. It's up to them if they wanna talk to me if they like what I do.

Silas Henderson, Kc, TPC (Kenny giguire?) Al Hampton, Derek Beckering, Mark A, Jarret, matt pate, fucking hella others not named...... but ya, I feel that the younger scene totally missed out on what scootering is suppost to be about. Yes it's growing in popularity and more people are riding and that is GREAT! but to ride for a different reason then what the O.G.'s started for is what I'm getting at. Idk if you guys will understand what I'm getting at. But try lol

i would def add will branson. without that guys mini video my riding style would be ridiculously different. that video, still when i watch it, reminds me how much fun scooting is. am i the only guy who watches OG vid's and gets a whole different feeling in my body than i do when i watch most of the videos around now-a-days?
