Reventon vs. Threshold

What's so special about a reventon? If the reventon wasnt a phoenix part everyone would hate it. Say Razor or Madd gear made a deck identical in weight, size and geo as the reventon, it would be hated.

Nobody would buy it cause of the weight, or cause of the length, or any of that.

Say Phoenix made a deck identical to the threshold, same specs and weight, it would be the best selling deck, and thats a fact.

People hop off certain companies dicks and choose a deck as if it had no branding on it, choose what the better deck is, and in this case, its the threshold.

hahah, reventons are fucking sick, and they are not heavy. the only way i wouldnt like it is if madd gear made it. but id rather have a threshold

tsi always used scientific approach to making decks and now with the threshold they reached the high level, while phoenix uses the same basic design: the neck through the deck, when you can only play with adding more material and changing the shapes of a neck\deck to make them stronger, but tsi method is directed on distributing the impact better.
i say threshold

threshold all dayyy! only reason to get a reventon is if its stans sig deck. biggest deck on the market... but if it was a thresh with the same geo the thresh would still win! :)

very similar, reventon costs more and isn't a tsi. Tsi is what sparked phoenix into existence and i really just trust matt a lot more, considering he's extremely involved with his customers and is a rider himself. He has been a contributing member to this site and always gives the science behind the tech in his tsi parts, and he also cares about his customers so much. The features of each deck are both very similar but the tsi bottom is gnarlier. I say get the threshold

to those who call dick-ride, i don't even own a tsi part
yes! so true!

yeah, i ride a reventon and i really like them.
but want something different.

threshold was a option, but im scared il hate it because its little longer and everything.
im more of a park rider so yeah.

not too sure. if it is a 4.25 reventon then its a toss up. dos v2 is another great deck. ask around and ride peoples scooters and get to know different deck so when it becomes time to get a new deck you know which one you want

Not here to argue but here to make a few points. The Reventon or Phoenix was not sparked by TSI, the Reventon has been out for almost a year and I also respect you ride a product because you trust the man who makes them. Matt isn't a rider either, if he's a rider than count the owner of phoenix a rider too. Phoenix is involved in the sport a lot, from hooking people up with product who needs it, traveling the world to meet his customers face to face too. I say get what kind of deck you want but don't get a deck because of an opinion of someone you don't know. As a pro I only like to ride parts that have taken a lot of time, thought and prototyping to over come damage, also ware and tare. Every deck will break but what matters is the amount of work and time that went in to develop the product. Not knocking TSI whats so ever but I wouldn't be riding a Phoenix for the hell of it. Tom at Phoenix spends a lot of his spare time talking, communicating, and interacting with the riders, I wouldn't trust riding any other deck but the Reventon.

K.C. owns part of TSI so I have to disagree with you on the rider owned part, and matt also cruses around the park on his tsi. but everything else i agree 100% on(accept the "i wouldn't trust anything but a reventon")

I didn't say TSI wasn't a rider owned company, KC is a good guy. As far as Matt being a rider because he "cruises around the park" doesn't make him a rider, thats why I said if you count him as one also then you mind as well count Tom as one. Matts a great guy from what I've noticed when I met him but he doesn't ride like you or I, seshing for hours at a time and knowing what it's like to actually ride. To each his own man but I won't just let anyone bag on Phoenix and not say anything to defend. I put a lot of envision into who I ride for and what I represent and Phoenix is a true company to me. Don't have to pretend to be anyone when I'm around the owner, we joke around and have discussions just like you or I would, he just doesn't listen he just wants to make the highest quality parts he can make and as a pro thats all I want to ride.
