watched the scoot part of this video, and surprisingly there was no real shit spoken at all, so i respect them for managing that haha
but they did make some true point in the video. like, they mentioned the price of parts; bike parts generally cost pretty cheap for what they are, but compared to scootering, theres parts like SCS's which cost 60-70$ and decks which cost 200+$.. like, considering the method/processes and materials they use to make these parts, it really shouldnt cost as much as they do, BMX dont put much profit towards themselves so they can make parts more affordable, only some scooter brands i know do that too. I mean if theyre using the money to get further development and research into scootering and making better parts, then i guess thats fine, but in the video they said quite alot of it is going to the riders which gives them massive yearly pay, but yet theres razor scooters and other brands that sell for around 20$ haha (i know theyre hella shit compared to pro scoots but there cant be that much difference in the development between shit razors and freestyle parts)
then they went on about how they see scootering. they said its sort of like an early stage of getting into riding, which then progresses into people changing from Scoots BMX. I mean, you could see it like that i guess because thats what some people do, but i reckon its how you see scootering. TCU said they see it as many kids aged from like 10-13 or something, and theyre generally just annoying kids that snake (that is true about the youngsters). Some scooter riders will go on to ride scooters as they grow up, and some will move to BMX/Skating or whatever it is. its all just personal preference in my opinion. But they did mention about how most BMXers and Skaters are generally straight up dicks to these scooter riders/kids, even if they do a small thing accidentally like snake them. If they want these kids to grow up and respect them or even move to their sport, theyve got to atleast be a bit more respectful and open minded towards them i reckon. i know its hard to be nice to little shits and even i have problems with that, but yeah. i mean, i wouldnt want to ride a BMX or skateboard if everyone else was just an asshole to me, right?
but in all i appreciate that they didnt mention anything like "fuck them theyre fags" "scooter fags" or anything like that, theyve sort of just matured from that shit and just accepted scootering, and since ive previously seen Adam talk a bit of shit about scootering, watching this video and not seeing pretty much any hate at all from him is G
but they did mention scooter riders dont ride street.. like, wut?
sorry for the tl;dr lmao, what do yous think?
