If the shop isn't giving you free product and making you pay for it, it isn't a respectable shop

you don't understand sponsorship.. many shops just give discounts...
I should rephrase what I said. I mean that if you ride for lets say "cool scoot shop" and they make you pay only 7$ instead of 10$ for grips its shit. Like they should at least give you what the shop pays distro

You are probably right haha
okay, just for an example if a person works at walmart, they can't buy all their groceries for free from there, they get a discount maybe or not, same with some scooter shops, you work for them but you won't get everything for free and you might have some kind of discount for the parts or you might not

Mankong wrote this about people quitting Flavor: "Evan, Stefan, Tyler, and Cameron left. It's just Ian on the USA team now."
Pretty crazy how suddenly everyone just quit
maybe flavor is focusing more on the australian and new zealand riders than the us ones

if you "ride" for a shop and your still paying for parts through them than your like "flow" or just one of the homies. but most shops just put any local kid that can backflip and can wear a size XSmall TEAM RIDER T shirt

And I can name a handful of shops in San Diego alone that are like that. The whole sponsorship thing is pretty lame to me. I think if a retail store wants to help some people out then so be it. The actual company's such as District, Envy, MGP, Ethic, Etc. should be the ones giving the sponsorships because they have the legit budget to support a team and travel them around.

A average retail store cannot support a normal team and expect to stay alive. We had a team of about 6 riders for a while all over the US and even Mexico. It is a rad feeling helping people out but I know from riding for a company that produces products that we weren't giving them what I thought was necessary so I shut it down. We like to support everyone, not just a handful of dudes. If we do ever have a team again for the store its going to be a lot different. I wont let anything happen until I feel like the riders would be getting what they needed.
