The Ride Wire caused a majority of the SR community to make the switch over to their site. But then TRW sort of shit the bed and died, and SR has remained pretty vacant ever since. The other reason that I believe contributes to SR being so dead recently is Instagram. If you think about it, every scooter rider you can think of is on Instagram. So Instagram pretty much gives anyone access to the entire scooter community right on their phone. After that, they may not feel the need go to on SR anymore. Also, its not like a quiet/dead forum is a very inviting place even if you are someone who wants to get back into the SR community. There just isn't enough traffic on the site for it to be enjoyable like it used to. I think its kind of a shitty cluster of events that lead to this. It's nobody's fault, though. I hope someday someone/something will promote SR enough for a crowd of people to get back on it. Hell, SD9 is sponsored by Scooter Resource. Let's see if anything happens then.

Those "mastered scootering" videos are so dumb. I flaired a bike, does that mean i mastered bmx? no.

I can also skateboard kinda well. does that mean im a master? no.

Any advice on developing one's style? I notice that a lot of my tricks look pretty jank no matter how dialed they feel while being thrown, so learning how to get those simple tricks like whips and 3's to look steezy would be helpful.

style comes naturally. If you try to replicate someone else s style you'll just look like a wanna-be version of them.
