yeah i own the 8mm 2.8, its pretty soft at 2.8 so i often find my self rising the iso and stopping down to f4If you can afford it a larger aperture will always come in handy. It's a whole extra stop of light that the lens will let in. If it only comes in handy once or twice then it was worth the extra money.
Larger aperture glass tends to be more precise, and therefore better image quality.
I know it's not for a pro, but the difference in price between a 3.5 and 2.8 fisheye isn't much, and it IS a better lens.
