Bahaha lol at "Jiordan Giacoppo" in the Aus section, he's a fucking faggot and probably one of the most hated riders in our state, he's been bashed so many times for being cocky how the fuck did he even get nominated lmao

i think actual riders should be set apart from the little shits the same way girls pushing mongo on longboards is set apart from skateboarding

just like any community, we're going to have bullshit like that contest shit. but if you look at all the cool shit that's happening, like tilt 2 (trailer gave me chills, no lie) or trendkill vids or anything Olivia does, i think the good outweighs the bad

From an inside view, the good outweighs the bad because we just want it to. But the whole scooter kid community overshadows us so much, that's why we still get hated on. Like what, trendkill has around 3000 followers on instagram and SR has almost 5000, when tanner fox has 50k followers, "chunky" has 30k followers, and JonMarco GAYdos (another one of lucky's stupid riders) has 18k. It's really gotten on my nerves recently how pitiful our sport really is.

I'm just one big pile of salt, I know. I've been going off on this shit all day, but it's that park rat style that just gets all the attention from the public. When skaters think of scooter riding, an image of a kid doing a kickless or buttercup is what comes up. And personally I think that no matter how far we get developing our own scene, the whole park rat thing will grow as well, and we might still be grouped together with that.

I just hope the street scene makes some big moves soon, Tilt 2 might be just the thing we need, but at the same time who knows.

scootering is whack. Pro series, international scooter comp, jake sorensen = 104 votes, tanner fox = 444 votes, fuck scootering, this sport sucks, wtf.

see the full rant on my ig

Tanner fuck only gets so many votes because he said he will spam the people with likes when they send a prove that they voted him. Then pantybunchers posted this and he got roasted. Haha. I just said that the winner should win cuz he is a good rider and not because spamming peoples insta with likes and he said he will block me again. lol

I mean the whole art form thing satori pushes really speaks to me, but like you know what I mean dude LOL

No matter how hard we try to be deep, the public still sees us as a sport or hobby. Idk I live with a bunch of people who always put down scootering.

i don't like calling scootering a sport, i see it as a way of self expression; and honestly that's unfortunately the way it is, the big companies with the fucking boat loads of money to just throw out there ass are the ones basically shoving thee product into the kids that are just starting faces, and it doesn't help that the majority of the kids that scooter are 12 and have just started and its pretty corrupt, for example to be on mgp you have to at least have 10 k followers on ig ( one of my homies told me this) and honestly i like how its kind of a tight niched community, all the fucking kids hate each other that scooter now, it blows; and honestly scootering is just getting more and more gnarly, I hope that when the scene that were all part of starts getting bigger that it will still have a positive impact on scootering; whether it's popular or not i will always fuckin scooter

Our sport is pathetic
For you saying that it isn't a sport, I'm right with you. I only said it that way because the part of scootering that is seen as a sport is pathetic. I almost put "scootering is pathetic" but realized, the whole thing isn't. Just look at all of us still on SR, is this pathetic? No. We're all here building each other up (most of the time). The kind of community we have here is the kind that should be spread out among scootering as a whole. Not the competing garbage that we see every time we go to the skatepark or check instagram.
i see it as a way of self expression
That's how I've always felt. But lately, it's been more than that. It's been a lifestyle. Scooters have been the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. No doubt about it. But to see it all turn into a sport is pathetic; it's sad. I see kids wearing shirts that say "TEAM" on the back and it absolutely kills me; they wear it as if it's some sort of jersey. And the kids you see wearing them, are the same kids you see riding the same ramps over and over, throwing the most irrational tricks, either landing flyout, or in the flats of some quarter. There's no creativity there. There's no heart there.

I could post more but, eh. I might later.

Scootering is not considered a sport in my mind. It is a vital part of my life that makes me want to get up in the morning. Calling it a sport takes the away how essential it is in many of our lives.
