SCS Starnut and .120 Inward Fork

Well, it appears that the starnut will not fit in the fork. I'm going to go to a bike shop on Monday to see if they can install it. And if they can't I wanted to know if it will work with a 1 inch starnut? Some pictures of the fork and starnut. Andrew said that the starnut will fit all forks. :(

Any recommendations would be nice. But don't tell me to buy a new fork.

why did you get .120 threadless? thats overkill.
put a screw driver through it and a block of wood on top. use a hammer or rubber mallet to hammer that fucker in.

use a sockett and put the nut thing on the star nut so its around the hole so it wont strip it then hit it in with a hammer thats how i did it

Lol, you have to hammer that starnut in. The starnut's flangs will bend and rub itself against the inner walls of the fork.

Just a few days ago i installed the same sized starnut into a threadless fork with .150" wall.
If i could do that, then you can hammer a starnut into a .120" easily.

No, I did not. I said the clamp will fit all threadless forks with an 1-1/8" OD. I never said anything about the starnuts but according to Madis it works so take it to a bike shop where they have the proper tools.

Get some needle nose pliers and bend the bottom edges of the star nut in slightly, just so that it makes it easier to go in. Just make sure you don't bend them so far that they don't touch the walls anymore. Also, just wail on it.
