U can But spray scratches like so much so tis kindo pointless in my eyes!

is there a special way of applying it and do i need to sand it down so the paint won't come off and will the paint come off anyway

1.Sand it down so it is easier to apply and keep the paint
2. Apply the color of your choice.
3. Add another coat
4. Add a clear coat
5. Add Another clear coat
And continue if you want

cant remember the names but there are special types of paint for undercoat and clear coats etc, but this is how you should do it
1. sand it with fine sand paper/ wire wool
2. under coat x1 /2 (greyish colour (laquer i think its called))
3. Colour you want x2 or 3
4 Clear coat not sure how many...
just leave it about an hour or so between coats other wise it might mix with the undercoat etc and go manky

DEF use montana because it dries fast beautiful color and opaque
DONT get you headset.
tape it off if youre too lazy to take the bars off.
and laqure-in-a-can it -keeps it from peeling.
theres no reason to get your deck. just the foldy part. and spraying your bolts might be annoying if you want to fix something.
and and under gray layer is primer. if you buy montana theres no reason you need that

and depending on what paint you use there is no time frame where it dries but leave it somewhere dry and cold. if you wanna test if its dry give it like 5 or 10 and poke at a tiny part no one will notice.

2 then put on ure under coat
3wen thats wet and dry sanding which is sbout p400 and the paper is wet
4 then put on ure colour 20 minutes later put on another coat
5 then clear or not
it works a lot betta on steel which in that case is perfect for one piece bars and will be betta if u use a spray gun and use car paint

i sanded my bars made a light white base coat then light layers of the color let them each dry till it was nicely covered (probably did like 10 different light coats) then millions of layers of clear coat now people ask if there powdercoated =)
