Any chance for a long forktube and the clamp set up directly on it? I know that such design makes it impossible to install a compression system, I believe a clamp would do the job though, wouldn't it?

Make it multiple* clamps, but they have to be something really strong and really grippy on the forktube.

... or like an inch of thread in that place and some kind of a threaded clamp (of such even exist, lol). The forktube could have thick walls so the tread would not matter (especially if it was going to be almost fully covered by the clamp).

I think they should have star nuts welded in them for use with SR forks, that'd be gnarly. Then you could sell them as a pair and eventually a whole scooter

Fuckn sick i'd by some bars if they were for sale what kind of price range would they be?

~ $60 USD before shipping which would include the handle bar, stem, steering column and new oversized lower clamp.

The stem would come already installed so all you would have to do is slide them on the forks, center your handle bar and clamp everything down.

Basically, just bigger. I have designs to make SR stems but I'm not about to drop that much money on this project just yet so I kind of lucked out by finding a company who already made stems I could use for the time being.

it will fit perfect with normal 7/8" bars.

though you will probably be able to do it before me so go for it



edit: and you can still do a compression system you would just use a long tube going over the fork and long bolt going through it with a cap on each end. when your done compressing and tightening the clamp at the top of the headset then just take off the tube and bolt to make room to put the clamp and bars on.
