Stop buying and start riding

Exactly. The people that complain about this, are either the people from a poor background, or those who have parents that prefer to teach their kids the value of money by insisting that they earn it themselves. Before I got picked up by Vertx I always had the most ghetto setups, because my dad refused to pay for it all, and I didn't expect him to, because I prefer not to treat my dad like an unlimited source of money. So I had to earn the money to pay for parts, which I ended up using on other things such as going out with mates, cause having a pretty scoot doesn't really matter to me.

The way I see it, I will not complain about people having sick setups before they can even whip, as long as they earn the money for the parts themselves. Its just the little kids that say "mom go and by me a madd tomorrow please" that @#!*% me off.
My thoughts exactly. I have a similar situation, just no sponsor haha

personally I think that money for our sport is fine & is much appreciated by the "Die-Hard" companies that love what we do as much as we do, on the other hand other companies that obviously just market to get on the band wagon to gain money (more like steal it) are "USING" & "TAKING ADVANTAGE" of OUR! SPORT! also in my humble opinion it seems as if we have kids that arent just not riding more, but just dont put any effort into anything they do what so ever, dont stop buying parts as much & scoot makes since... but also in my belief I care more about kids on SR watching nothing but park, kids attempting flyout tricks 24/7, & just our skewed American generation in general.

I know right, i always here my friends talking about like, oh dude, im gonna get the proto half knuckle and new wheelz and this and that. Well first just work on gettin better and get parts for free :)

I have to agree with you too many people are buying new parts when they dont need to! i mean why would you need new bars when the ones you have are fine?! my mate james brought new forks a week after he got his scooter i was like wtf? what was wrong with the ones you had on there and he simply replied "i didn't like them"

the reason i find myself buying new parts is because of if my scooter is beat to knock grass, and ugly as nos, I would not want anymore trash for riding a scooter, but on the other hand, I find the riders that always buy new parts, innovate and support the scooter communities suppliers..

Well if the parts feel like crap that's a pretty good reason to get new ones. Why would you want to ride something uncomfortable? I know I wouldn't.

Also I just had my lucky wheels since Christmas, and now I'm getting grippers because my luckys are chunked to hell and have no grip.

I'm buying new forks because I absolutely hate the feel of my grit ones, they're strong and are still holdin up well but theyre really uncomfy especially when doing footjams and such

I agree with many of the riders in here -

Some dudes forget the true meaning of riding; it's not about the ultimate solid scooter, dialled parts and such...
Its about enjoying riding as a whole. Regardless of what your setup is.

I get sick of little fags with their new MADDs, coming down to the park with no desire to actually learn anything.
As a rider myself, I don't actually have the money to buy all the latest parts. I dont use my parents as a sick money bag to fuel my supplies. I earn it through what work I can get.

The time spent on buying new parts could be time spent progressing down the park
(or streets)

I would have to agree. Just go out and ride if parts break they break then u actually have to buy new ones. Be happy with what u have

I don't see what wrong with it. If people want new stuff let them. It is not really any one else's business and it doesn't effect you, so who cares.

Right before I changed to my new green set up I had this scooter for about 6 months not even changing a bearing or bolt. And still rode pretty much on the daily.
