I have been hearing this term tossed around lately when people are talking about me and the crew of people I ride with. You guys know who that is. I really don't get why people get so upset over the entire thing. We are doing our thing and have fun and the extent of us being "rude" or "hating on park videos" is done through the internet and for the most part none of us pay enough attention to the scooter scene anyways.

none of that makes it right. this is petty nonsense and you're acting more immature than all the gay little park rats. stop complaining about stupid little crap that is never going to have an effect on you.

and personally, i don't like your style. it's preference.

I personally dont care if people ride flat, park, street, garage, rooftops whatever their thing is. Dont be so concerned about "where the sport is going" because in the end of the day. You're riding your scooter the way YOU enjoy it. and nobody can take that away from you. The sport will get where it needs to be.

Best paragraph in the thread.

Just to add;
Realizing that me influencing the sport by telling people to do something else than normal DOESN'T WORK. I mean, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. I can change the sport by riding hard, releasing good videos and setting an example when I'm at a park. No matter how bad you are, if you're 16+ at a park, kids are going to look up to you, and if they see me doing a FS feeble BS 360 down a hubba and want to do it one day, my work is done.

You know I love you Tyler, but It's the fact that we're going about changing the sport in completely the wrong way that makes us look elitist. Kids pushing mongo are always going to be around, and to be quite honest, I don't care. They're only putting up a barrier for themselves by doing so. One day mongo will be recognized by companies as something undesirable, and it's at that point that kids will reconsider it the way they push.. But until then, there's absolutely nothing that can be done.

Thanks for the rude comments on my past videos.

Nah man if you're bored you're not hating. Start getting bummed on stuff then voice your opinion so people are bummed by you and you start the circle of non-boredom.
I am still trying to figure out what this means. Its confusing the shit out of me. Is this Kyle from GoodNeighborStuff? hahaha

ok, the next person who bitchess about where this sport is goin is bout to get slapped upside the head, even if its tyler. I know your all bummed but sitting here and whining about it isnt gunna do anything. and as a said before in an other thread, there are obviously people who care about style and such, and every sport has park and street, and each of us whining and moaning isnt gunna change a damn thing about it. so ride how you wanna and RESPECT whats goin down, because whether you like it or not these park riders are going HARD and are shredding their asses off, their just different. so don't go and criticize everyone that doesn't ride like you.

Little kids look up to older riders who are shit role models and pretty much say "don't ride ski, don't push mongo, don't use heels on grinds, don't do briflips, ride more street," when in reality, these older riders SHOULD be saying things like "do what you want, ride for fun, and do what you love."

Instead of just flat out saying "don't push mongo," or "don't use heels," let people know that it's looked down upon. The way you word a statement and how you say it can greatly change the effect of what you're saying. A little bit of respect goes a long way.

thank you! RESPECT is the name of the game son! respect everyones opinions as much as your own, which includes riding style.

give me a valid reason why you shouldnt respect park rats

They land tricks badly. They film badly. They have constant games of SCOOT. And they are the most annoying people to deal with at the park cause they don't know shit about what they're doing.

How does that affect me? They have the nerve to talk shit on me and my hard work in the sense that they're BETTER.

SO FUCKEM.

Why am I even trying.
I feel you man. I'm considering having a mod permaban me, just to get away from all the crap on this site. It's making me sad, and angry to see what's happening. Looking back at the old threads, from like2006 they were funny, and not full of little jerks.

because you think your opinion matters to people that are only in the sport to have fun, like it should be. it's a FREESTYLE sport, not a "freestyle as long as tyler wheeland says your style is ok" sport.

like rob, i hate his style so much. he does impressive tricks but his style is horrid in my opinion. do i think he should ride differently? absolutely not, i wanna see him ride the way he has fun riding. if you take away that aspect it becomes a chore.

you're considered a pro rider, act like it. if a kid wants to push mongo and ride fly out all day because thats how he has fun, you should be encouraging it. unless you want to be an elitest and control the where and how people ride...

it's not your damn sport, it's not a defined sport. it's freestyle, meaning theres no set style. start your own damn sport if you want to control the way people participate in it.
