I'm sick of people talking shit on Take2 Forks without having anything to back it, so I'm writing a review.

I've ridden Pro Model, SR v2, and Inward forks. They've got nothing on Take2s.
I've had my forks since Christmas, and I'm already in love with them.
The offset is perfect, the fork tube is madddd strong.
The forks overall just feel extremely solid.
And the best part is, they're aluminum.

Only 1/3 weaker than chromoly, but HALF the weight.
Think about it.
With all the extra material, it's just as strong or stronger than any chromoly or steel forks, but still way lighter.

Some people say that aluminum threads will bend when you tighten your clamp.
Wrong.
The threads are kind of low profile, which makes it harder for them to bend.

They come with 2 Stainless Steel axles, 3 washers, 1 lock washer, and one nut for the axle.
I'd recommend buying a steel 5/16" hex head bolt, 2 1/2" long, because the axles it comes with are butted and makes putting the washers in a bitch.

Overall, these forks are just insane, and I would definitely recommend them if you have the money.

Pros:
  • Light for the weight freaks
  • Looks like it's from the future lol
  • Strong
  • Threaded, no need for compression.
  • NO welds
  • Comes with 2 Stainless Steel axles

Cons:
  • Pain in the ass to put on threadless bars the first time.
  • The fork race just slides on, I don't like it, but it works perfect when you tighten your headset nut(s)
  • It's hard to get the washers in between the fork legs and the wheel the first few times
  • Threads are aluminum

what kind of bars are you using. id think the threads would be fine with stocks but i would think most one pieces would mess em up

Both of those statements are grossly inaccurate. Just because aluminum is lightly per cubic inch does not mean that forks made out of aluminum will be lighter because everything needs to be twice as thick. I would be willing to bet that those weigh just as much, if not more than SR forks if you actually put them on a gram scale. French ID forks and Razor Pro Model forks are practically the same weight and they are two different materials.

As for "low profile" threads... there is no such thing. All thread pitches and and counts are standardized which means the threads are exactly the same as on a Pro Model fork... only made out of aluminum.

I personally think the forks are a good design except for the aluminum threads but you should really get your facts straight before posting that stuff.
