theres actually some logical discussion going on, so i'll try to clear some things up...

tyler chambers: the fact that jesus is even accounted for in history, seeing that at the time he was just another jewish carpenter is amazing in itself. historical records for that time period are EXTREMELY sparse (it was 2000 years ago), so for jesus to even be mentioned means the he was an extraordinary person, whether you believe he was the son of god or not. there is no record book of every jew that was crucified, although crucifixion was a form of death that the romans used only for the worst criminals, so obviously they were very afraid of jesus, a man that committed no crime.

as for miracles and the stories you don't believe... the only way for anyone to believe them is faith, there will never be proof. i'm not going to try and convince you they happened, i know as much about them as you do, if you don't believe them then you don't, i'm not going to say you should.

I've read hardly any of whats been on the past few pages, so i'm just going to say what I believe. The bible cannot be taken literally, you have to take it more as stories to help you live your life better. No, I don't believe jesus walked on water, and I do not believe in Noahs Ark. I do not really know if I believe that jesus is gods son, but all I know is that if one man can completely change the world, then and thousands of years later, there has to be something there that caused such a large impact on today, the fact that what jesus did is still being tought today, just shows that that is how you really should live your life. Love your enemy and love everyone. In a sense I believe that jesus was gods son, but then I also want to believe that he is merely a saint, just someone who for some reason caused such a big impact. I feel like such a dumbass because what i am trying to say is not coming out right at all, but i don't really care.
