my friend is helping me edit i'm just looking for some tips like:
fast-forward / slowmo - yes or no?
are filters distracting?
how many b-rolls?
how many bail clips?
audio/video fade - yes or no?
are all these preference or are there norms because some of this is stuff I don't always pay attention to when I watch videos

With fast forward it depends on how long you're riding for in the line imo, slo mo i wouldn't really use unless you're ramping it with after effects
I'd steer clear of filters if it's like lens flare or whatever but fillers and overlays are cool i guess
tbh i'm not too sure of what b roll is so I can't really help you there aha, i'm guessing it's b sides which i'd put with bail clips i suppose
audio/video fade - yes if your song is pretty long, unless you do the thing where the song cuts off as you land the banger because that's mad steezy
but obviously it's all down to whatever you think looks good man, hope I could help
