i was planning to put the U through the back wheel, dropouts, and the post i'm securing my bike to. and then the chain for my front wheel and frame. shouldnt i try to secure both wheels?

It's easiest just to put the lock through the frame and back wheel (technically you only need to put it through the back wheel inside the rear triangle). That's the safest, too, and if you get a chain put it through the front wheel. Do you have quick releases or a quick release seat post?

If you don't have a quick release lever on the seat you'll be fine. Otherwise you can just put the chain through the seat rails, too. What's more important is locking it up in a place where everyone can see it, not tucked away behind a building or in an alley.

My bike's pretty much the same, I plan on getting a KHS flite 100 whenever I can afford it and start restoring privitera, right now its setup to get me around town but it deserves better. And the owner of the bike shop here gave up on selling the cinelli frame, actually any of the parts on his attic, thay just sit there collecting lots of dust.

wow, living on a college campus has really made me despise fixed bikes, and the people who ride them.

Haha. I guess being around and riding with the hipster crew in san jose really changed my style of riding. Plus the flat bars are suppper comfortable
