Then the crossbar will bend until it becomes unridable anyway and you'll still be down a set of bars.

The only reason I'd ride an SCS (anymore that is) is if I had Torn or other oversized alu bars

If slits on bars were as much of a problem as you guys are making it, don't you think company's would stop selling bars with slits? Just sayin.. Its not as big of a deal as you are making it out to be..

thats why i have phoenix bars not T bars so they dont bend, and good point cody but u always have the new scooter kids that know nothing and its simpler for them to understand that

Yeah.. They just go with the band wagon and get SCS because they look cool to them or some shit.

i think hic is more dialed and lighter but it just feels so much weaker riding compared to scs. i like both compressions but i would only recommend hic to people who arent as hard on their bars.

Okay, HIC's light. I run HIC also.
But I'd rather have an SCS.
It's the safest and best way to ride.
HIC has a slit, which is a weak point, even if you have your clamp over the slit.
When your bars snap, which they will, you'll be saying how you can run a SCS with them because they wont have a slit anymore :)

it happened to me today snapped my tsi bars and now im gettin an scs
