The New Yaks

you could try soaking your wheels in nail polish remover.. i heard that helps.

or what brian said with heating them up and then letting them cool

theyre not cracks and i figured out theyre not scratches. all they are is a seam where two plastics meet. must have happened when the molds were being filled. its no big deal, nothing to worry about.

this actually makes alot of sense

BoylizH2: the yaks are soft and shity cause there fresh.... and the ones we used before were made long long before and stored for a long time and hardend during that time
razorripper15: yeah
razorripper15: theyve been out for ages
razorripper15: ever since csc
BoylizH2: yeah... just been sitting in a warehouse..

so take your yaks stick them in a box and put them up in your atttic
for a few months?

but ya john that does make sence.

I got myself banned.
Bombing hills and and pushing down the brake to heat them up compresses the wheel together and bonds the urethane together better if you get them real hot than let them sit over night. If your real crazy you could do that a few times before you actually ride them, and i have no idea if it would help but you could bomb hills than throw them in the freezer and see if that helps at all (let them get back to room temp before you ride them though so they don't crack from the cold).

taylor thought about it not me haha.

to speed up the aging of the wheels, you could try to putting them in the sun or heat them up like brian said by using your brake and then putting them in the freezer, and just basically keep doing that for a few weeks switching off between the two locations every day or so.

or you could always keep them locked up for about 4-5 years, thats about how old the good yaks were since they are about as old as the beginning of the CSC crew
