cool if people keep usernames so people still know who each other are on the forums, good mods will be key to a good forum aswell, also keeping hate to a minimum makes a good community. some of my views there

Thanks for the feedback, however useless it may be. The Ride Wire is not being advertised on The Scooter Resource. If you would have taken the time to read the thread in its entirety before posting you would have discovered this.
The return, however unnecessary you see it, has not been sprung out of necessity but rather out of a love for the industry and the riders in this industry. It is a project and a community not meant to compete with any entity or community but to stand alongside all the rest and support the sport of freestyle scooter riding.
I hope this has been enlightening, if not then no worries.
it's solid now, we're going with vBulletin. we've set it all up and are nearing completion of the forum side of things. We'll keep you all posted.

Are you guys going to have a testing period to make sure its all smooth? i think it would be a good idea, have the people running it test it and just use it for a little to make sure its all good
What you are referring to is called beta testing. While that's a great idea, i think we'll let the launch be our beta testing period. We'll open a forum for reporting bugs and issues along with suggestions and such.

SR is the best scooter forum ever! It covers pretty much any topic in scootering and non scootering. Im staying on SR.
I wasn't hating or anything, as it seemed you thought I was haha. I just always thought TRW was kind of an alternative more low key forum, that less annoying kids were on, but if you guys are advertising it/talking about it here, it would just be an extension of SR more or less.

IRC is a wonderful idea IMO. More customization for the users/staff, easy to add chat only mods, etc
less of a bandwidth killer too i think considering you can leech a room off of any server (Rizon, irchighway, darkmyst, tip.it etc)

The first run of TRW had a thread on here promoting it too. You need some way to make people aware and SR happens to be the best. Also Chris didn't even make this thread in the first place
