Vx1000s are 500 or you could save abit more and go hd with a cano t2i or t3i

The t2i is part of Canon's "rebel" series, which is in-fact their entry level dslr. So yes, it is a beginner camera.

Go canon, I believe the Nikon only shoots in 24fps on 1080 while all of the canons do 30fps

CANON, nikon video is complete ass unless you get like a D3/D3S/D4. There menus are wack to imo

Im picking up this camera setup for Christmas and I need some more help on what other accessories I should start saving up for to better my setup, so any help is fantastic. Or any changes to the original setup is also greatly appreciated, thanks in advance guys.

24 Bulb LED light
2 batteries
(still deciding on a cheap mic, preferably under a $100)
Backpack/case for all this shit.
This will be my first legit/solid camera setup so Im trying to make it the best I can, thanks alot guys.

and get a canon 200eg backpack. NOTHING ELSE. having a backpack is better when riding a scooter, trust me on that one

I got the same thing last year and still onlly have 2 batteries if your just starting you dont need 4 and the photive camera batteries on amazon for 14$ work almost as good as my canon battery

Don't buy just off of the name, the only decent gs cameras are the 320 and 500. A gs39 would be tight for a cap cam that's about it.
