it would make me more than happy to see people posting on this thread again. Most of my scooter friends have plenty of questions about veganism/vegeterianism and it would be cool to see if there are any other people out there who are interested.
Well i did it for like a moth and at first i felt really sick and felt like I had a hard time adjusting. Like tummy aches for a week straight. But this summer imma do it again and go vegetarian or even in the least cut out fast foods and junk food. Idk your body might be different but i'd go for it and see if you like it

well I've been vegeterian since february/march and vegan since october, if you try adjusting a lot slower then it might work better for you, the way I started was by cutting red meat out of my diet then poultry a month or so, then fish and eggs after about a month. Then in October I cut out all animal products. Cutting out junk/processed foods is awsome though, just packing your lunch or choosing a different resturaunt or grocery store can change your whole day for the better

Yeah i'll do that haha it sounds like a much better idea. i'm gonna cut out soda first and just start drinking juice or water. I feel bad though because my parents loaded up my school lunch card with money for the semester but all the food items are meat related or unhealthy. I guess i might just wait it out for now.
Do you feel better? Idk i feel groggy a lot and just lathargic alot lately

my great grandparents grew up on a farm. ate red meat almost everyday there whole lives. they are currently 90 and still eating it and go to the gym sometimes and are mega healthy so I'm not too sure about red meats be really bad for you. personally out of experience i use to eat a lot of crap. i tried vegan for a month. it felt good i felt good but my craving for meat was way too strong and i felt better with a meat and veggie balance. now i eat red meats about once a week. really all in all red meats aren't bad for you in moderation. just cut soda out of your diet or only have it once a month or so (I'm 7months clean from soda) eat veggies even though they all taste bad imo. red meat is only a prob if you eat a lot of it. stay under 2 times a week and you should be ok.

If you think all veggies taste bad you are a shitty cook.

Oh and also i am starting to eat more raw veggies because when you cook your veggies or starches or whatever it kills the "life" in them.

i actually cook pretty good! most of it contains meat though. I've been to some smancy fancy places and gotten expensive veggie dishes. steam cook serve with special sauces it just taste like the same dirt grown veggies. Raw Celery and when i go too minnesota in the summers i like raw corn picked off a cob other than that they taste terrible for me.

@Chrispy yeah I do feel a lot better and have lots weight as well as became more aware of my enviromental impact. Quitting Soda is a great start, I'd advise to avoid corn products in general(high fructose corn syrup, citric acid, Ascorbic Acid, etc). I think eating raw vegtables is also a good choice but there are some vegtables(root vegtables in specific) that I think are better digested cooked. And I've heard/read that the only healthy way to consume red meat is 2 servings each month @LTS I hear ya on veggie dishes in resturaunts, for me most of the time its not even worth me ordering food because I order my food without a lot of things that come on it yet there is no decrease in the price, I'd much rather eat at home for less

am i the only one who hates smoothies? XD btw this may be random but if you're a little hungry and you're about to scooter if you have access to a banana those are full of potassium and are great before competing in a sport. Also fills in your appetite (unless you've been fasting for 2days lol)

I've actually considered trying this. I eat alot of meat but wanna see how I would feel If I cut it out a bit more. I eat really healthy as it is. Does it really make you feel that much better?

To answer your question.....sorta. If you eat a lot of meat and quit cold turkey your going to feel really slow and tired because you have been consuming more protien than your body needs so when you make that big of a change that quickly it can effect your body and mood. Also if you start consuming more dairy than you have been to regularly than you might feel sick. These are some reasons why a lot of people don't stay vegeterian/vegan. You must cut out meat slowly, I'd suggest making a plan of what you want to cut out and when you're going to completely cut it out from your diet, don't be too strict with it for the first few days/weeks, just try to avoid it when you can

Vitamin b is super good too hear me out. It is the vitamin that helps turn the fat and protien you eat everyday into energy and acts as a catylyst in breaking down these also allowing your body to make the most energy out of food. Since you @BeeFrew eat so much meat taking a b complex everyday might help you transition into trying vegatarian and if not its still great for your body and for me personally i went from riding and getting tired after 2 hours to getting tired after like 6 its great
