I think what they're saying is that the state's liability coverage only prevents them from being sued by skaters and inliners. Still, it sounds really, really dumb.

Maybe you guys could call your California state representatives or something and talk to them about this, maybe they'll listen to you and get an "equal access for scooters" bill up if enough people call.

they said scoots werent covered by insurance when we were petitioning to get them into D-bar way back when.

we got them to allow them for a trial basis of 6 months, no injuries, and so they were legally allowed.

now razor scooters are consideded "collapsable skateboards" in their original patent, so anyone with a brain should now that they should be insured by the states insurance along with the skateboards.
