jordan: i tighten down the nut on the fork, put my bars on, and in 10 minutes of riding my miniramp its hella loose again. so what i did was put the bar clamp on top of the nut, hoping this would hold it and keep the nut from moving up and coming loose. it didnt. the fork just comes loose. ive tried it with stock headset and my fsa unsealed. idk why but it cant stay tight.
if your talking about the threaded fork I know how to solve it
I always have this problem on stock forks you screw the nut onto the fork and then screw another one on top of that and hold the bottom nut with pliers while you tighten the top one as hard as you can it should stay tight forever
I'll remember that when I get mine.

Nobody will get theirs till Tuesday, because tomorrow (Monday) is Memorial Day, and UPS doesn't ship on those government-type holidays I guess.

HEADSET PROBLEM CAN I FIX IT ????????

ok my top head set is jigglin around now i cant tightin the screw thingthe screws on the fork to tight or then my bars wont spin so i keep it loose but my fork jiggles back in for and so does the headset but its not the cup jiggling on the headset just the thing inside in like th bearing and the seal on the headset soo...... if i get V.2 forkTHREADED will it be wide enough so that it stops jiggling cause it looks to me as if the Stock Razor Pro Fork isnt wide enough to fill the space

theres two nuts on the fork. tighten the bottom one wayy down, then tighten the top one wayy more down, or in opposite directions, so they like tighten eachother i guess...
or use locktite or superglue

nick can only tighten one nut on his fork because he has this headset
res_301022.gif
which did not come with another nut to tighten

You don't use that little nut on top, you just use the two nuts that are on the stock fork. And you don't even need to use two, I've used one the whole time I've had a threadless headset and it's been good.

I own SR.
If you are having problems keeping the headset tight and you are only using one nut on top then you will have to use 2. That is how they are designed to be ridden.

When you tighten the 2 nuts together it puts a bind on the threads which holds them both from loosening.

Why is the threaded one $25 when the unthreaded is $40? Is a different metal used for the threadless steer tube than the threaded one?

I got myself banned.

NOTE: The fork tube is NOT as thick as the threadless version so reinforcing is recommended to be on the safe side.

Says that on the store page, that might be why
