no, its not plastic, but you'll figure it out once you get it.

no dude it will run with a stock headset and just the nuts you put on a normal fork. its just like a normall fork only with bigger stronger legs

same i have 1 peice bars and i hate threadless due to the fact it never stays tight.

if i use the threaded fork will it stay tight because the threads will dig in? or will it slip even more on unthreaded bars?

i tighten the fork and it stays tight, then i put it all together and when im riding my bars will just get loose and the bolt falls out and hits my wheel. i think somthing shredded because one time little bits of metal came out which usually means somthing broke.
i ordered 2 starnuts one for my new bars which i have already and im just waiting to get the star nut so it's no real big worry. me and bk are having are starnuts done by a local bike shop which will press them for us.

K, if metal shavings are coming out then it definitely sounds like you stripped the star nut.

The bolt should be SNUG not tight.

yeah i never tightened it to the point were i couldn't anymore i was super carefull about that. i just too my bars off one day and the shavings came out. im going to just put the star nut even further down twards the fork to get more thread in the starnut so it doesn't shread agian.

im thinking about just getting a threaded since i have unthreaded bars which is like a threadless fork but the other way around. no comp system either. which makes it alot easyer.

Razor bars are not threaded, they become threaded as soon as they tighten down on the bar clamp because aluminum is soft metal and cuts threads in. Ask anyone who is riding BUFF bars with a threaded fork... they have threads gouged in them now. If you have RAD bars or anything steel it won't do it as bad but it will still eventually cut threads.

I really don't like anything about threaded forks so I could probably keep going on and on and on but I would say if you can afford it go threadless.
