I don't see the point in spending anything over $50 for a watch regardless of whatever possible reasoning you can give me.
anything under 50 bucks wont last long when your covered in snow in 20 degree weather and accidentally slam your watch into a rock or snowboard, and it sure as hell wont last very long if you're like me and go diving or ride/work with watches. my g-shock has had hot oil splashed on it, its been slammed into multiple things, its been been 30 feet under water, its been hit with a hammer while i was trying to take a fork race off and a bunch of other shit and theres not even a scratch on it. i already explained this to you.
my limit on watches is 200.
but honestly, if i become wealthy enough, id probably buy a legit rolex.
