I don't see the point in spending anything over $50 for a watch regardless of whatever possible reasoning you can give me.

anything under 50 bucks wont last long when your covered in snow in 20 degree weather and accidentally slam your watch into a rock or snowboard, and it sure as hell wont last very long if you're like me and go diving or ride/work with watches. my g-shock has had hot oil splashed on it, its been slammed into multiple things, its been been 30 feet under water, its been hit with a hammer while i was trying to take a fork race off and a bunch of other shit and theres not even a scratch on it. i already explained this to you.

my limit on watches is 200.
but honestly, if i become wealthy enough, id probably buy a legit rolex.

Watches show wealth, like jewelry and nice cars. It's just another way to show that you have money. One more way you can prove that humans are too materialistic.

see now you could have that mentality but where does one person having a pessimistic get anyone? i wear because they just look nice. same as ties and really any other clothes, they just look nice. clothes show wealth should we just stop wearing those too?

I wear a nice Fossil I found. Apparently worth like $115 and I found it in a hotel nightstand drawer.

Alright there Kings of Leon.

But seriously, I've never needed a watch in my life. I don't need to spend 200 dollars on a watch, I didn't even spend 200 dollars on my phone and, what do you know, it has a watch built in! A watch that never needs to be set, I might add. It's one of those things where it's either for you, or not. People who like watches are all about that shit and people who don't care about watches think the people who do are completely insane.

I never said I was against it, and I'm anything but pessimistic. Nice try, though.

i honestly use mine for the time lol. taking out my phone at work is blasphemy, and taking it out while snowboarding is stupid because of how easily phones get messed up now days, and usually my phone is in my backpack while i ride.

but once i get a nice one, it will be about the looks lol.
