Eh, i would rather have a fun chilled sesh with mates then try to do big tricks... but what you said in the OP is preety stupid. I think its boring to do 1 footers and shit like that. and if you film for a vid of course your not going to make it full of 1 footers. that wud just be boring. Only thing wrong with the new age is they whore tricks, and it get boring to watch, but i would probably watch that then watch a og do 1 footers and no footers. :)

He didn't literally mean one footers. I think he meant it as an example for more simple tricks. Like boosting hips, inverts, tuck no handers, turndowns/lookbacks, stuff like that. Tricks that are more style oriented. Like I've been really into doing one handed x up combos lately.

I read this thread and decided to go out and try that, because I am the only serious rider in a 50 mile radius of my town so i don't have anyone to ride with, but I did it and had 1000 times more funn.

It really does suck when you are the only serious rider you really know (and by really know I mean know by name) in your area. Scooter scene in north Texas has been boring ever since Andy Koke jumped ship. Jeez.

Who doesn't want to be able to pull tons of huge tricks? It's still fun, jsut because the tricks are insane doesn't mean they aren't fun. Being one of the best comes with it's ups and downs I'm sure.

I got a few kids into scootering around here, a few kids are starting to follow. The skate scene is so overrated around here. Everyone and their brother skates.

my god, i hate the ''new scene'' riders around here. ive been riding at least one or two years more then they have, and they think theyre the best just because they can do these fucking briflips. theres one rider i hate the most, hes names simon hall. shitfuck, hes so cocky its not even funny, talks behind my back that i sucks just because i ride flat mostly. hes done like 5 sponsor videos in half a year lol. he even asks my friends if hes better the me when he lands a new trick. everyone sucks his dick.


and theres riders that needs to be more known!
theres so MANY underrated riders, unknown riders that deserves a sponsorship more than other people that already are sponsored and shit.

I rode at Allen Station today and I saw this kid named Devin that I haven't seen in years, and he prancing around with some bright-ass red YAKs and acting like he fucking ran the whole deal. He kept telling that I suck (although I must say, I am not very good) and that he was better than me simply because he could drop in right and into steeper bowls and whatever. He certainly is better than me, but every time I told him "Dude, I'm not saying I'm better than you and I'm certainly not acting like it!" he'd misconstrue my comments by going "Dude, you're not better than me! Stop fucking acting like it!" Selfish bastard.

honestly man who cares if people think there better then you. this kid that quit scootering from my town justin. went around my back telling everyone that he was better then me and shit and of course they would tell me that he said it and i would just laugh. cocky people just try to piss you off. just laugh and dont take anything they say seriously

Ride to have fun. Those guys that have to go around telling everyone how badass they are have issues. If you are good people will see it. Nobody likes an ass no matter how good he is. Plus, nobody started out being the best so keep riding and getting better and keep the attitude in check.
