i think style has to so with what tricks you do as well as what everyone else has said. when i lived in woodinville i liked to watch sean gottschalk be cause he was realy smooth . he didnt do any big tricks but he did alot of things lik 270s and tailwhips and landed them consistently and smoothly.
so i say your friend is stupid if he wont admit other sports have style.

wow, that is how a skateboard is meant to be ridden. holy shit, that dude is like the cary of skateboarding, and is obviously way underrated because I haven't seen much stuff from him up until now..
