major differences? their deck is BARELY different than a lucky deck, it looks almost exactly the same, they can change that.

they didnt even change the name of the smx...

i dont hate this company, but they need to change the design way more for me to look at them seriously, right now most of the parts are just lucky parts under a different name.

They CAN change that...but keep in mind that all of these are VertX's designs anyways. Why should VertX take a hit and go through designing all new parts?

vertx is definitely the most legit company Ive dealt with, i decided i dident like the height of my bars, so they made me a brand new pair for FREE lucky wouldn't have done that, and anyway it would have cost me like 15 extra bucks to get just an inch and a half bigger bars, from now on vertx will be one of the only company's ill deal with

Dude. Just ask. Half of the time when I order stuff from places online I don't even use the site itself, I just send them an email and ask if they have what I'm looking for. You'd be surprised what some places have in stock but not on their website. The clamps aren't on the site yet either.

because their parts are already in the market under a different name. and it wont be taking a hit, it would be doing something different so more people will buy it.

The threaded insert in place of a starnut is "something different" enough for me. It's awesome. I love the SMX and I hate starnuts. It's better than another Phorx/FrID ripoff. And the decks LOOK pretty much the same, but have major structural differences. And the original headtubes that were sent out with the test models were leftover Evo headtubes from what I've heard. The actual VertX headtubes are unique. And they're going to be offered as integrated soon too.

I've bought HIC for multiple places, cos I'm cheap and can sell them for more then I buy them from to locals, and they always come up really yuck and rusty. Thats in really nice condition, a light sand will knock the surface rust off like nothing else.

EDIT:

It's essentially a big allen bolt that threads in and has a threaded hole in it. Works quite well I might add, and it's easy to replace if it ever strips.

Most likely down to poor handling with USPS. They don't tend to be very careful with stuff. A lot of my parts came scratched. The shim is raw metal though.

Does it really matter? It's not like a slight bit of rust on a shim is going to do anything.
