doesnt really seem like you had much respect for wheels to begin with which might help explain why they break so fast.
 
i ordered sum YAK 100's off discount wheel and skate,i think they ship to the U.K.

Yeah, Try to compress your wheels a little before riding them hard. Like Kc does go bomb down a hill and apply pressure on the brake, or just manual and use the brake and rotate the wheels. It has helped me alot, if I don't mine tend to break faster.

i think i found the ultimate wheel they used to be light up but now they dont work solid core! the only problem is the urethane might peel off eventually o well heres a pic

i had a wheel like that and if the urithane peels off just get all of it off and ride the rim it works good for temperory use and rides suprisingly smpooth
 
i never rode it on a concrete park but for street it was ok and i dont know if it would work for that because mine was just plasctic and then the solid rim it didnt have the wholes that helps keep the rubber on but if it breaks you should give it a try its not as bad as you think it would be

i know someone at my park that did that and it sounded like a lawnmower every time he rode and he tried to do a stall and when he landed back in the back end got all squirrely
