Why do people hate on scootering so much?

A big reason why skaters/bikers hate scooters is because it's a trend to make fun of scooter riders and they're trying to fit in and make they're friends laugh. But I never get shit for it though, probably because I don't snake. Being tall helps too.

i usually dont get any shit anymore, and never at my local because i do my own thing and i always try to go hard as fuck and people respect that, but about a week ago some pussy ass posser skater that couldnt even kickflip though he was cool and decided to call my little homie joe calzone a scooter fag and all this other shit and i swear i almost made this pussy ass mother fucker cry, and told him if he said anything else the rest of the night i would beat the living shit out of him and all the little scooter kids snaked him the rest of the night XD

Bladers have no problem with scooters (prob because they get just as much hate), but those BMX fags... they all hate on scooters. Just last week I got in a huge argument with some fag on a bike, telling me that scooter riders just copy bike riders. I had no idea where this was coming from, I dont even like BMX and only have watched maybe 2 BMX videos in my life. Sure, scooters are pretty much bikes that you stand on, but im almost confident that much more influence comes from skateboards than from bikes. Am i right?

yeah... I love being able to compare/contrast scootering with a fellow action sportee... Its amazing how simular we all are. But see, BMX is huge here, so they're all ignorant assholes

Everyone at my school knows me for scootering and think I'm hella good. My friends fuck around with me sometimes when I have my scooter with me and call me gay but they are just joking. Only little freshman who think they are the shit call me a fag for scootering. Most skaters at my local know the diffrence between scooter kids and scooter riders so as long as you don't snake anyone and don't fuck around they won't bother you.

I used to skate. But I didn't see what was so wrong with scootering. So I just started scootering, enjoyed it and found it naturally easy for me.
