yeah we should stop caring,
but i think that we are considered "gay" is because skating and bmx has been around longer and way before us so since were "new" and different they think we are gay. But tony hawk was called a loser for riding a skateboard but look at it now, millions of people look up to him now and skating has become huge. we just need to wait a few years and im sure its gong to be different

you see hundreds of little kids riding their bikes around town every day. yeah, you see a bunch of little kids riding scooters, too. but the reason scooters are looked at as gay is that this is a new sport. when we around around for 20 more years we'll be the same as bmx and skating.

BMX and skateboard riders are generally in their late teens/twenties. Scooter riders are generally in their early teens. Yes, riders tend to be outside of these general ages, WELL NO SHIT. Fact of the matter is when other people think scooters, they think kids in helmets riding rainbow scooters. As far as I'm concerned this is the way it will ALWAYS be.
Progression is good. Yes. Who are we progressing with? Little kids.

i agree. Sure there are annoying gay little kids on skateboards and bikes as well, but the IMAGE of scootering is off a bunch of pussy bitches that need handles to hold on to their skateboards. When people think of skateboarders, on the other hand, they think of hard ass mofos that aren't still on the teat like the "little fuckers that clog up the skateparks"

it's simple, just the fact that the amount of younger riders is overwhelming compared to the amount of older ones. in turn the people who see people scootering just see young kids which makes it look like a "kiddy" sport and they don't see many pro's or sponsored or older riders in general riding. that is just because there are not that many. the sport just needs time to grow and mature.

i reckon half the comments on this thread r right we need to wait for the sport to mature to get more older riders with more ppl willing to sponsor cus right now all ppl see r little kids on razors hogging the box and snaking everyone and not knowing wat theyre doing so it brings our respect down a whole 20 million notches while ppl that actually know wat theyre doing bring our respect up 1 notch at a time
