Not necessarily. Using a super strong and light metal that like NASA would develop, but it wouldn't be practically for the cost.

theres also a lot of strength coming from the design obviously
bmx companys have the money and machinery to create special tubing, thicker where it is needed the most, mad thin in parts that NEVER break.
this would be mad useful in scooter parts such as crossbar
mad thick in the middle, but thinning out as it gets to the end.

i think theres a certain point where bikes become too light and it doesnt even feel like a bike anymore.

i think anywhere from 24-27 pounds is perfect for a bike, any heavier and it gets a bit cumbersome, any lighter and it feels stupid.

well, my bmx is 22.7 pounds And it feels perfectly fine to me. So a bit lighter than 24 pounds isnt that stupid.

I'd say like 25 would be the lightest I would like. My bike was 27 or 28 and it was pretty good, and I rode a kid's bike that was like 22 or so and it felt terrible.

I don't like it already. It just doesn't seem to click in my mind.

As far as weight, my race bike is like 18 or 20 and it feels fine. I'd never ride anything that light at a park or on street though.

Lol how? I my self run a large sprocket but how the hell are the better than smaller ones? smaller is lighter

Big sprockets just look gnarlier, I've never been a fan of 25 and lower, and the smaller you go the more wear you have on all your parts.
