YOUR BROKEN SCOOTER

trying to fix the fork yourself would be stupid af imo. You payed a certain amount of money for a brand new fork, so you should get a fork without any manufacturing defects. inward or proto should send a completely free replacement.

This is IMO, so it might be stupid in your opinion, but not always.
If it was bought from a local shop, then i'd contact the local shop.
If it was bought from Freestyle Depot (or any other webshop), then i'd contact FD.
If it was shipped overseas, then warranties might not apply in some cases so i'd look for other options. No need to be sarcastic.

Been riding this wheel like this for the past month, it's cracked around 2/3 of the wheel. Today I finally got sick of it and I am gonna switch it for one of my MGP wheels.

Damn.

on the striker thing, personally.
I don't know what kind of horrible things shipping companies do to packages, but that is a chromoly tube that is curved very hard. What sort of abuse could cause that? Just curious.
Short of being ran over by a steam roller or ridden for many months, that should be nearly impossible. This isn't paint chipping or legs bending, scuffs, etc. This is a -chromoly- tube that was violently bent.

But, not my fork and I don't know the whole story.

which wheel lasted the longest?

Fernando forsure. Had a good few months. Coedie got off someone lightly used, and chunked just over a month in. MGP lasted a little while, spoked started bending, cracking, outter part of core started to dent in to give a flatspot feel. Then dehubbed at that dent.

My proto retros are bent to hell. Lucky I have two pairs. But the left bar is bent down and my don't tube is bent sideways lol

What you guys aren't getting, is that i did contact inward, they told me to contact tge(proto).

And I dont thing I should have to pay 90 dollars for a fork that originally costs 70,
on top of that i didnt even get the color I wanted because they were out of black.

I hope you realize my comment was a play on the typo in the title haha, I wasnt making fun of you or anything.

Ive always hated aluminum bars. In my opinion they feel too light and just feel like theyre gonna bend or break the first time you ride them.

Yeah, I was at a scooter camp and was riding for like 7 hours a day and when I got back and went to the park I tried to front scooterflipwhip and it just came out of my hand and bent....

this is in regards to the proto fork....

you guys cant expect EVERY SINGLE steel scooter part to be made perfectly. there's bound to be defects/mishaps, its not like steel parts are put into a CNC machine and created to perfection like aluminum parts. for steel parts you have to build a jig, and try to line up everything perfectly before you weld it. not nearly as error-proof as a CNC machine... gotta keep that shit in mind. i know it sucks to be one of the few people who gets one of those defected parts, but at least we're at the point in the sport where companies have the decency and the resources to replace this stuff. you guys should show a liiittle more appreciation for the people who've worked so hard to get to this point where you all actually have a huge choice in the parts that you get to ride. just my 2 cents, not trying to pick a fight. just trying to put things into perspective.

People are just whiney and expect too much. Things break, defects happen, usually they replace it, i wouldn't mind paying additional postage for this to happen. Maybe i just hate people :/
