heh thats a HIDEF!!!!!
Still, why go hi-def if your colors are beat... go highdef and 3ccd at the same time.
Brian, do you know the difference between a CMOS and 3ccd chips?!
They produce the same colors, CMOS is still a type of 3 chip. The only difference is that they're larger than 3ccd which make it cheaper for companies to produce/buy, that particular camera has a slightly lower lux compared to an FX1 but as a plus it actually saves battery life compared to a 3ccd.

I edited my original post a day later after i read up on it and found out more about it (a page back, not the one at the top of this page).

You post is confusing/inaccurate by the way you worded it. Chip = CCD. 3 CCD has 3 chips, CMOS is one chip... so CMOS is not a type of "3 ccd", since CCDs and CMOS are different types of sensors. Now theres 3CMOS cameras, so i guess you could say that is a type of 3 chip (FX7 for example). So a 3ccd camera would produce better colors than a single CMOS camera (in most situations)
