it is worth the extra money. its the difference between point-and-shoot and DSLR. BIG difference. d40x is the cam i would get if i had money

Alot of flashes already have that, but you need one on camera (or a transmitter to one) to set the other ones off.

i dont know about that. it could be true, but im pretty sure only the d70 only has the wireless built in, otherwise you need a transmitter.

d40x is really just more megapixels, and you won't need 10mp in most cases you won't need it.

i was talking to martin and he said for what im doing (like shooting bmx and stuff) its better getting the d40. and isnt the whole point of a slave is that one flash sets of the other, but if you dont use a flash to set off another its just called a wireless flash?? if you know what i meen

depends on what youre looking for. entry level, d40 is definitely better than a rebel, in my opinion. mid-level, probably better to go with 20d or 30d. high-end, noone here has to worry about.

Don't think so. I think the optical slave flash shit is triggered by infrared.
