1 chip=1 ccd, which means 1 chip processes all the color information.Shelby Grimnes said:I have a question.
Like whats the deal with like 1 chip cameras and 3 chips like whats the difference?
i'm guessing 1 chips are like handy cams like gs80s and stuff

ohhh okay sick. I knew 3ccd was a big thing but some dude that films with a vx was like, "the whole time i was watching you film i thought you were using a one chip but yours a 3ccd i didn't know they had that for handy cams" and i had no idea what he was talking about. thanks brianBrian Boston said:1 chip=1 ccd, which means 1 chip processes all the color information.Shelby Grimnes said:I have a question.

3 chip=3 ccd, you have 3 chips, RGB like John said, each doing their own color, so colors are alot better. High end 3ccd cameras usually have large chips, so better you get better quality.
