I got my D40 like a 2 weeks ago, and i want to get a flash that's cheap but works good. What should i get?

And i have a D40 with the 18-55mm lens and soon a tokina fisheye.

Yeah and it's like the screw on kinda, tha you attach to the regular lens, i'm just getting it cuz i'm just starting out so, i'm not ready for a real tokina like clip on lens.

yee cactuses on the way :)

1 transmitter, 3 recievers, so i can use my 580, 430, and this wierd little sunpack flash thing ive never had any use for untill now.

eric dont drop them the first day i got mine i took a test shot and then went to go adjust the flash power on the lightstand and it tipped over and my receiver smashed : / so now i only have one
and they dont fit right in the lightstand hotshoe so i had to shoo goe the cactus thing onto it
i still havent done the mod to them yet
oh and i used the transmitter on my film camera and it got fried so i had to get another one
these things are really getting on my nerves

haha im thinking im just gonna use these till i get the money for pw's, they sound so sketchy. have you had any problems with the misfiring...? that WAS my main concern but aparrently here are other things i need to worry about now haha

heres the secret to misfire solutions or at least this is what i do put your camera on a tripod and set it up for the shot and then press the test button and if the flashes fire then its pretty much guaranteed they will for the actual shot
and dude alienbees just came out with some transmitters and receivers im gonna get those because i just sold my battery grip they are so much cheaper than pocketwizards but not as good but they are still really good they are like baby pocketwizards haha

modish thing to my vivi and cactus when i had my lightstand all the way at 8 feet tall i had to point my flash down and when it did it was heavy enough to pull the hotshoe on the cactus receiver up so it wasnt connected and never fired so i got a pc cord adapter and now it fires like every time also it like swayed back and forth because it was so much stuff like at the base of the flash but now its sturdy as hell
