true erik but i cant stand the lack of manual settings on the hv30 the auto exposure and everything is just terrible
i also cant stand the ois in it no matter what every shot is shaky
i dont really feel the hd aspect ratio frames extreme sports well especially with fisheye there is dead space standard definition isnt as crisp but i just think standard definition is the way to go
im glad i tried hd out it definitely has applications but not for what i need

Honestly though, as faulty and fragile as the vx1000 is, I still like the authentic "raw" look.

Yeah thats true but if your not like extremly serious about filming, or if someone is using your camera to film you (which i think is Dylan's case for Proto) i wouldn't want to drop $800 on a piece of glass. Im a serious filmer and i won't even drop that much money on it. If your on a tight budget i think the Opteka is worth it.

my friend already has a vx1000 with a mark 1 and my other friend a vx2100 with a mark 1 those are my filmers
but sometimes they slack and cant film on the weekends and id like to have my own camera
i also enjoy filming so i would use it to film other stuff

if i spaced it out would it be better than the raymod?

37mm baby death on the hv30 is terrible you have to mod the step up rings like tilt them together with shoegoo to make the vig even
