I know this sounds wierd but it works if you stick your leg out and try to point your toes at your face and the grab them it gets rid of heel briuse I have no idea how stretching fixes a bruise but my mom would get the all the time from playing soccer and do this, and if you do it like I'm between commercials when you watching tv of in class every once in awhile it will be gone in a day. And yes Derek those foot massager thing are so good.

Never get heelbruise anymore, but lately, I haven't been bailing much, If I wanna truck a set for example, I will 3 it (which I can do first try, pretty much on any set under 10), and then I'll just commit, knowing that If I bail it will hurt, but that If I commit I WILL land it, and It wont hurt. Knowing how to bail helps too, dont land flat on your feet, land on the balls first, and roll if you have to, or use your hands.

My life consists of this cycle.

Do gap, heel bruise, don't wait long enough for it to heal, do another gap, more bruise. Repeat for infinity.

nope ive never got a heel bruse. like my heel will hurt for a good 20 or 30 seconds then the stinging goes away and never comes back. and if you ride the vans with no sole your foot will actually harden and get kalist and never hurt, personal opinion
derik i think that because you have so much support on your feet that there like soft butter, i where vans slip ons from journeys which have no sole at all and my feet never hurt

My mom has this like warm water foot massage thing. It's the best thing ever invented.

Actually this is the opposite of what you should be doing- yes the warm water feels good but it is not helping with recovery.

Heat should never be applied to an injury until about 2 days after because it increases swelling and inflammation.

If you can stand it, a bucket of Ice water is what you need after a hard day of riding. Or elevate you foot and rest your heel on a bag of frozen vegetables from the freezer, or buy a Cold pack you can keep in the freezer.

I am sorry, but this is actually completely false. A callus does not in anyway prevent bruising. Calluses are formed from your skin rubbing up against something, that is why you get them on your hands, it is from your grips. If you are riding with Vans slip ons and have never gotten heel bruise, you are definitely not doing anything big.
