Most skaters don't even like X Games, all they care about is street league. Don't see why you guys dont think the same.

i think that if you can't see the harm that could potentially come from this, you either haven't been in the sport long enough or aren't old/educated enough on the history of aggressive inline. we need 5-10 more years... please, at least 5.
yeah like i understand that, but i personally think its getting pushed back right now, like theres barely any buyable quality parts on the market right now, a couple years ago everything was affordable and quality and lasted forever. and its just because people want bigger street decks that are harder to make. and now lately you get made fun of if you dont ride street or certain parts, like what happened to riding for fun? i think it being in the xgames would be a good thing, because itd inspire more people to ride and maybe even some new companys.

please please shut the fuck. there are fucking high quality as shit products right now. i understand your point about being made fun off riding park and that shit sucks but barely any fucking buyable quality parts on the market. there are 5 times as many buyable products now and a lot of them are stronger than 09 products.i know im a 2012er but i still know enough to know you are fucking wrong
You probably weren't old enough or researched enough to remember to happen to inline. They had so many chinese companies come into the sport who were only in it for the money. The quality of all the parts dropped, all the kids took it up after they saw it on tv in the x games, which caused many people to quit or go to other sports. Only the hardcore street riders and companies stayed and slowly built up the sport again.
Ehh, maybe it's a good thing that xgames will happen. The sport will die a quick death after massive exposure like blading did, and then only the serious riders and a few diehard companies will be left. That might be beneficial in the long run.

Edit: nick the increased price means increased quality. And there's plenty of cheap parts around. The proto deck is actually cheaper over time as you can replace each part instread of buying a new more expensive full deck. Don't buy protos if you don't want to. Eagles are fine, despite what people say, demons are good, cheap, and american made, and there's plenty of other wheels. Only wedges and legacies cost 100 dollars, strikers are the best forks out there and are cheap. My lsv cost 50 dollars.

Why should we care what a handful of skateboard riders do or think???
