i think that if you can't see the harm that could potentially come from this, you either haven't been in the sport long enough or aren't old/educated enough on the history of aggressive inline. we need 5-10 more years... please, at least 5.

Yea thank you! Our face needs to cahnge also right now seeing a kid with a scooter is not a good thing and right now there arn't that many REAL scooter riders,of coruse theres a ton of kids with nice scooters that can do tricks/ have figure out a style, but very few scooter riders under stand the scene or know about the scene I feel like the only group of riders that can change any thing is US. YES that's right scooter resource is one of the only groups of people right now that can change any thing, and if you don't like this site instead of complaining and not using it, fix it or atleast help, and not only on here but when you ride teach kids about scooters about how to ride in the skatepark. Really right now this is going to kill scooters right now if we take this huge jump. we need to be seen diffrently before we go in this because right now people will still take us as a joke. Doing six whips over a mega ramp.does not look as cool as other sports fliping a 7 lb. Scooter and doing a tuck no or whatever does not look as impressive as other sports do. We just need to wait and we will be ready.

yeah like i understand that, but i personally think its getting pushed back right now, like theres barely any buyable quality parts on the market right now, a couple years ago everything was affordable and quality and lasted forever. and its just because people want bigger street decks that are harder to make. and now lately you get made fun of if you dont ride street or certain parts, like what happened to riding for fun? i think it being in the xgames would be a good thing, because itd inspire more people to ride and maybe even some new companys.

please please shut the fuck. there are fucking high quality as shit products right now. i understand your point about being made fun off riding park and that shit sucks but barely any fucking buyable quality parts on the market. there are 5 times as many buyable products now and a lot of them are stronger than 09 products.i know im a 2012er but i still know enough to know you are fucking wrong

Ehh, maybe it's a good thing that xgames will happen. The sport will die a quick death after massive exposure like blading did, and then only the serious riders and a few diehard companies will be left. That might be beneficial in the long run.

please, just shut the fuck up if your gonna give me shit for only that part. theres decks that are over 200 dollars, proto wheels are getting more expensive, bars are getting more expensive, hell forks have gotten up to 100 dollars. i meant buyable as in affordable. cause i know the most i can afford is a v2i and vertx parts cause theyre cheaper.

You probably weren't old enough or researched enough to remember to happen to inline. They had so many chinese companies come into the sport who were only in it for the money. The quality of all the parts dropped, all the kids took it up after they saw it on tv in the x games, which caused many people to quit or go to other sports. Only the hardcore street riders and companies stayed and slowly built up the sport again.

Edit: nick the increased price means increased quality. And there's plenty of cheap parts around. The proto deck is actually cheaper over time as you can replace each part instread of buying a new more expensive full deck. Don't buy protos if you don't want to. Eagles are fine, despite what people say, demons are good, cheap, and american made, and there's plenty of other wheels. Only wedges and legacies cost 100 dollars, strikers are the best forks out there and are cheap. My lsv cost 50 dollars.

So you're talking about riding for fun? And you're also talking about competitions with huge cash prizes? We've always seen those two go hand and hand.

I think that it will get more respect from non scooter riders who dont see it as a sport. but i think its too soon and that our sport should mature a bit more, it would be better in a couple years

Why should we care what a handful of skateboard riders do or think???

Skating is the model of a successful extreme sport. Acting like them is in the best interest for the community and the sport in general.
