Remember the bullshit that happened on here because of Proride? Yeah, where are they now? Want more companies like them? Put scooters in the X-Games right now.

If you care then the best advice I can give is educate the kids that are at your local. Tell them about the companies that are crap and only in it for the money. Tell them why you ride and what keeps you motivated. Teach them tricks. Dont hate on them. Make them feel welcome to this beautiful sport. Most people dont even know what we can do. We need recognition to build a serious foundation so we define our sport as "extreme enough". I dont care what them haters or anybody thinks, What we can do on scooters is fukin sick. We crush skatepark or street as hard or harder than any other sport. We do it for the same reason and thats all that matters

So fucking true. In my local , there are so many rider´s with normal scooter , or the old freaking heavy micro ones that just ride around and jump a bit
It is a double edge sword:
Parents are the Bank and we have to spread our money out over a lot of things for our kids- it gets expensive quickly :0 so we tend to look for the cheapest price, which doesn't always mean we spend less since we may end up buying several cheap products because they're junk.
Once you get in to a sport then you understand Quality parts- but this costs $$- but if you are good then you NEED quality parts.
Wallmart is filled with junk Bikes and cheap skate boards but does that affect the BMX/ skate world?
Unfortunately, Scooter life/riding as a Sport will alway be handicapped since any 3,4,5,6,7,8 yr old can hop on one and ride around the Skate park messing with everyone's lines and just getting in the way= no respect for the skill of the older riders.
Parents are part of the problem also- they go inside the park and walk around worried about their kids- getting in the way also.
( Our local requires EVERYONE inside the park to have a helmet on so that keeps the parents out)

The xgames kicked us out back in 2005 thanks to the rich ass skateboarders who KEEP IN MIND own rights to some of the ramps. Also the mega ramp is owned by the xgames and DC. Plus Danny way HATES Rollerbladers. We will never get TV time on their equipment. They had enough money to say ITS US OR THEM! If they pulled out of the xgames they would have lost %70 of its sponsors. I remembrs back in 03 tony hawk said in a interview, the Rollerbladers are taking up our practice time. For the record we are not dead! You'll be suprised how many of us are getting back into it.

One more thing. The xgames is getting horrible ratings. They said last year if it wasn't for the winter xgames they wouldn't be here. Why do you think they keep adding random sports? Like the Rally cars. Last year they put the best Rollerbladers on a 4' mini ramp? Wtf! Thats a slap to the face. Skateboarder don't like the fact that we can do gaps 5 times bigger and we can do 1080 flips and shit. You guys are the same way. I've seen you guys get crazy air. Bottom line, mine and your sports are more entertaining to the audience. They know it and hate us for it.

i dont hate skateboarding(i skated for 3 years btw), but i do hate how most skaters think they are superior over everyone else at the skatepark or whatever.
and yeah, ive noticed rollerblading is starting to gain a bit more popularity. i think its cool.

I love the scooter industry. If my 3 year old keeps at it I know he'll be a prodigy lol. You guys shouldn't worry about getting on the xgames. Your sport is HUGE without it. For each kid/guy I see at the skate park with a scooter it makes me lol. I say to myself, the skateboard industry is loosing a lot of money right now haha. Like you I also skate, I keep 2 skateboards in my trunk at all time. I don't hate it, I love it actually. I hate people who hate me for what I do. You guys have NO idea how many times I've almost kicked someones ass protecting you guys from skaters talking shit. Just ask RYAN GOULD, he'll tell you. Ill be 30 this year but if someone talks shit on my son for riding a scooter, you better hope your under 18 cause ill fk you up. Ill protect all of my local scooter heads and a lot of you are on here.
