i dont think they are going to have a full blown event this year.
maybe just a little side event that wont get televised.

That'd be really sick. but the down side of this is there'd be like 10000x more scooter fags, and like 5x more serious riders. :l

if you HONESTLY think this is a problem, you're stupid. all its doing is helping scooters and pushing us forward.

Some people don't want it to move forward, they like it how it is. I personally liked it before all of the kiddys started riding 2-3 years ago.

Kind of like how some parents don't want their children to grow up.

yeah like i understand that, but i personally think its getting pushed back right now, like theres barely any buyable quality parts on the market right now, a couple years ago everything was affordable and quality and lasted forever. and its just because people want bigger street decks that are harder to make. and now lately you get made fun of if you dont ride street or certain parts, like what happened to riding for fun? i think it being in the xgames would be a good thing, because itd inspire more people to ride and maybe even some new companys.

FUCK that.

2007 man.

If this turns out like that did then I'm gonna be bummed because the video I remember was a bunch of people throwing tricks and not landing them.

The sport needs a stronger base I think before this big stuff happens. There's only a handful of really REALLY good pro riders compared to how other extreme sports are, and there's only a few good companies around that are doing good things for the sport. I've never seen anyone get made fun of for not riding street. I've seen flyout and park riding criticized for being repetitive and boring but I haven't seen anyone get made fun of. And about the street decks, it's about making a deck that makes the tricks people want to do easier. I don't think it's about making the process harder and I haven't seen anything about the process behind making wider, bigger "street" decks any more difficult than making little "park" decks. And I don't think a pathetic showing of our sport in the X-Games would do much to inspire anybody, because that's what we'd get with an X-Games event right now.

I think you're right that it'll get a whole lot of younger kids riding but the next generation of pros have to start somewhere.

When those kids grow up there are going to be so many more top quality pros building on the legacy that today's riders are creating.

Most skaters don't even like X Games, all they care about is street league. Don't see why you guys dont think the same.
