It's because of the ridiculous image they've built for themselves. Now, that's an opinionated statement, but that's what a lot of guys who don't post in here think.

i had a chance to ride josh toys ao deck and i have to say that its kinda short and the headtube is as short as a mgp
as for elyts Im not a big fan of their shoes because they look terrible in my opinion
but hey both company's treat their riders really good so that's cool

the shoes are the fattest and ugliest shoes ever IMO. if they made some shoes like the nike janoskis or something i would maybe start liking them.

People who know the story behind that whole group of companies (Elyts, AO, Raptor, 841, etc) hate them because they are quite obviously in the sport for nothing but the money.
The people who own the companies have nothing to do with scooters. In fact, they actually have a LOT to do with another sport, and they're just in scooters because they're blowing up and they can make a quick buck.
Supporting elyts is pretty much supporting rollerblading, and i'm not down for it.

Ya like their first run of back pack they reused the liner from roller blading backpacks.

or Zig went to that company for financial help and they don't just care about money... Phil Long rollarblades and had ties with them before they got into scootering. and if you notice phil and zig kinda go hand in hand. idk just an idea, but i see where you are coming from at the same time.

and i don't care what anybody says EVERY company cares about money, Tilt, Addict, TSI. without money it's impossible to run a successful business

do you mean they are?

I have absolutely no clue , i don´t know these companies enough.
I just wanted to point out that you can´t compare (for example) tilt and mgp
You are right , every company wants to make money but some companies care about quality too

I beleive this statement is far from right.

The owner believes in treating his riders correctly, Sets them up with a massive house. Gives riders the opportunity to travel and pays them pretty dam well.

There is no other company that has bought a house for their riders.

You know companies are in it for the money when they use their riders names to make money and not give them a cent in royalties.

So all in all Ao/Elyts are focusing on supporting their team more than making money.

Also Bjorn keep an eye out in next years line of shoes. You will be amazed.

whats wrong with supporting rollerblading?

I'm not a rollerblader. I'm a scooter rider. I would rather give my money to someone who genuinely cares about the sport. Sunshine distribution wouldn't care about scooters at all if there was no money in it. That's what separates companies like Tilt / Proto / TSI from the Sunshine umbrella.

oh my god. when the fuck is it gonna end. who the fuck cares where your money goes to? its about getting good parts, and if mgp made good parts (which they dont) then i would totally buy their products. you think any skate companies are in it to make people happy? no. its all about fucking money either way. and if companies like tilt and addict make better parts, then thats what im going to buy. who the fuck cares about anything else about the company? back stories, their riders, their owners, it doesnt matter if they make good parts. and from what i can see the AO deck looks pretty innovative and good.

and another thing, how the FUCK can anyone on this site talk shit on rollerblading? we ride scooters for christs sake. grow up and have some respect.
