Well-well-well... i'll try to keep this text short.

I got my first scooter in july 2000 or 2001 i guess... I had no idea of any scene, so i did pogojumps and manuals and 10-inch long boardslides on unwaxed curbs. I rode with the highest bars. Then in the same summer i broke something i didn't know and my bar wasn't turning nicely since then. Then i paused for 3-4 years when came my birthday on 4th april 2004, when i had no idea what would i like to get for my b-day present. Then i asked a scooter. Bought it, started scootering again... cruisin, doing x-ups and no-footers haha. In summer i discovered one scooter rider (who's in switzerland now and not riding, damn) who did 360s in a skatepark. That dude opened my eyes, give me a link to RazorPros.cjb.net site, i watched NBS4 and my mouth fell down for the first trick already - a double tailwhip. I was amazed. After watching it i somehow discovered SR and found many advices from older topics, and i started riding with lower bars and friend opened my eyes that skateparks are cool, i have ride them since August 2004.

In February 2005, i landed my first tailwhip in a indoor skatepark - since then i became serious with scooters, although i was riding nameless scooters. Somewhere in that same time i met one adult who works and studies in University too, and started riding scooters and made some skis for scooters out from steel haha. I've been riding with him since then, although he doesn't ride so often. Since then i have really been into modding scooters. And i dug out my very first scooter and i found out why it wasnt turning, i had snapped and lost my top cup which had to be inside the neck - there wasn't any cup.

In May 2005, i got my first JDBug (new-a model haha) and i started modding them. It's just that getting scooters (Razors) is a nightmare for me because transportation from abroad to EST sucks anyway and has many more fees.

I don't know what to write more... Oh, last summer i started making Estonian scootersite Toukeratas.com that i'm recently updating again, writing a whole new mod bible (previous is getting old and was translated from Ryan W's Mod Bible on his permission).

well, i skated about 3 years flatland, there were no tricks then and skate was gong to boring.. tho on estonia there is about 5-6 active scooters max.. its pretty shitty to learn tricks here :\.. i started riding activily about 5-6 months ago. i didnt even know there is tricks for scooter.. then i were like, one day skate, one day scooter, one day skate, one day scooter, one day scooter, one day skate until i droped my skateboard foreva and now i am only scooter.. all on my school are impressed of me. i think im getting more scooters to estonia :p coz on school there were about 4-5 people who did get scooters and are now learning tailwhips, dont know tho are they learning them on summer.. aÃ?Æ?Ã?â??Ã?â? Ã¢â?¬â?¢Ã?Æ?ââ?¬Å¡Ã?â??Ã?¶ what more hmm... flatland is pretty hard for me.. im getting always sad if i wont make double tailwhip :p.. well now i can make it and i feel good but everytime i was like "no double tailwhip, omg scooting is pointless :((((".. now i have moved to park.. bought helmet n pads.. hoping to learn more tricks there... i fucking hate peoples who say scooting is for noobs or something that and then they will ride with skateboard or w/e, my point is getting to top #3 on estonia with scooting. madis is much better than me so i have no hope but im riding also for getting new tricks and it gives good feel if you make something hard and complete it :p ao ok im going sleep
and btw what is the most.. ride for fun ;D!!! !alien
you're already in top #2 in Estonia (says Juku and me) :D because Estonia is too small.

1999 A friend of mine said "Dude you heard of those new Razors..? Im getting one!" I laughed at him..called him an idiot, and we skated to go skate some street, yes, i used to inline. I laughed at him, when he came to my house riding that thing...I didnt even step on it. Well one day my skates got stolen, this was around 2001. I was bored...during that time, of course my mom had bought me a scooter. It wasnt a Razor however, it was an Urban Scooter. And it was jes sitting in my garage, Since i didnt have 400 to buy a new set of skates...i was bored, and picked up the scooter.. I went outside, and was jes riding around...jumping down and up curbs..and i remember seeing on TV, an old commercial that some of the Vets on here might have seen, im pretty sure it had Jarret and J Fry in it. And i was thinking, "werent they doing like tricks..?" So then i decided to go online...maybe search something like Scooter Tricks...The first thing i typed in was, Razor Pros. And wouldnt you know it, it took me to a website ill never forget....Razorpros. Made by Josh Toy. And on that site, i found a video called "Xcellerator" not many people will have seen it, but most of the older riders know it. The video starts off, with Ricky Wernicke, riding down the street, being filmed as if it was a skate video, and i was kinda like, wtf is this..? Then the song "Sorrow" by Bad Religion kicks in, and he does a flat 360...followed by a tailwhip...and a double tailwhip off a kicker...Thats all it took. And i was hooked..It was from that day, after watching Ricky, Josh, and Chris in that video. That i never put my scooter down, I watched it a countless number of times. Each time trying to see how theyre doing what theyre doing. And the next day after downloading a few more videos, it started. I would be outside everyday, riding, and riding, and trying to land tricks. Tailwhips, 360s, ANYTHING...I came onto the online scene around 2002, And got to know a lot of my now close friends...Starting off on an old team called NJScooters, with a rider you guys know on here, one of the top street riders, Ryan Whetstone. But it wasnt around 2003 that riding was changed for me. I was starting to get this feel for the scooter, like...it was becoming part of me, when i would ride street, i would feel what was around me, and the terrain, every bump, every hole, crack, stair set, ledge, i would see it all, and jes flow it through my riding. And one day, I found a video...by a rider by the name of Andrew Brabank..most of you might not know this video, its really old. And had the song by Placebo, Every Me and Every You. And at that moment, after watching that video...My entire style changed...I stopped focusing on quads, and crazy combos, and instead started focusing on clean tricks, big catches, smooth styles, and bmx influenced tricks.. But the more i rode, the more i kept feeling somewhat connected to my scooter...And me and Andrew became good friends, talking a lot online...And we both shared this passion for riding. We would talk about how, sometimes late at night...2am 3am...If we couldnt sleep, we'd grab our Mp3 players...and jes go out in the middle of the night, and ride a curb, or anything..it didnt matter as long as we were riding..Well 04 rolled around...late 04...And Andrew had quit riding....this hit me pretty hard, when i found out he had quit to smart smoking a lot, and doing other various drugs...it was hard to keep riding after that. But it was only after that, that i took my riding to the level i wanted to...I rode because it had become a part of me, it was now life. And there was no denying that. Everyday i would ride, I loved to fall...I loved to learn, and to talk to all the people i had met through out my riding career...Its now 2006, ive stopped riding..and theres nothing left to say..

had a long version...edited it, and cut it short.

Well, thats my first post.
I would like to tell you a story of the lonliest guy in the world Timur Mamatov (thats me). I got my first scooter in 2004. It was JD-bug. My father bought it in Germany. I started my riding with such tricks as pogo, boneless, tailwhip boneless, one footed manual and no footer and some others. My friends liked me riding scooter, they wanted to join me, but then i realized the shittiest thing in the world: THERE ARE NO SUITABLE SCOOTERS IN RUSSIA!!! So my friends started riding inline skates and BMXs. Now I scoot alone. ~:( But it is not the end. Every time I brake my scooter I have to go to other country to buy new one or go to shops in my city to buy a "1-week-scooter". I made it about 10 times. Now my father hates everything about scooters, cause he spent a lot of money on them. I tired of modifing that fragile shit to ride one mor week!!! I wanna buy good vehicles that suit for street riding!!!.I WANT TO LIVE ELSWHERE. I HATE RUSSIA!!! I ride only 4-5 months a year, cos of fucking winter ( i have no winter skateparks in my city). Moreover i have no summer skateparks to skoot cause stupid skinheads and gopnicks destroyed it 1,5 years ago (those skinheads are very dangerous, they killed one friendly bmxer because...because... he was riding bmx and wearing baggy clothes x) ). So now I learn new tricks off drops and thats pretty hard. No one understands me! Everyone says that I need to quit scooting. FUCK THEM ALL! I will not quit riding!!! I love scooting, love its stylish tricks, love to be DIFFERENT! Especially I love street riding! It requiers some courage... and good scooters !mistrust .
Today I broke my last T-tube doing 7-stair 360. That was pretty painfull. Now I have to grow some balls to ask my father for a new scooter !sad
Well my riding in few words:
1. I like street riding
2. Scooting+Russia=nervous disorder
3. Nevertheless I am a legend of my city among like minded teenagers! Some people respect my desire to ride.

Excuse my English if anything is wrong

Steven, you are to me what brabank was to you.....seeing you quit sucked. its really awesome that you're staying as involved with the community as you are, but it would mean so much to so many people if you started riding again. it wouldn't even have to be that much, maybe like once a week or something.

and another thing, if you had any footy thats unreleased, could you post it?

I started riding in january 2004. found ryan whetstones site, tried tailwhips for about 3 months. finally got them down. then i found nbs 3, saw kc do a quad and thought it was the coolest thing ever. then i bought an x factor ramp and tried nothing but doublwhips. all sketchy. you guys (especially steven) remember me posting my first vid on TPC about a year ago. damn it sucked so bad. everything was sketchy. practically every trick was a tailwhip. then, matt andrus released his second mini, and that got me hooked on bmx style. but i didn't have a park to learn any of that kinda stuff on. then someone made the comment that andrus was what steven tongson would do if he rode park, so i went to steven and asked him for a copy of his mini preview. i was so amazed, and from then on, i've tried to clean up a lot, ride with more speed, and stop using the kicker a lot. of course i'm failing miserably at all of it, but i'm having a hell of a lot of fun

I have been riding for about a month now. I am doing pretty good, and Im working on a lot of tricks that most of oyu guys have. I have had a scooter for a few years, but am just now getting into riding aggressively. I ride everyday, and hopefully Ill have a video soon. I like street(ledges) the most, but park is dank too.

Timur, Me and you are an Awful lot a like, I too come from a country where Scootering is hard. But I wouldn't be killed for the clothes I wear (Well, Thats kinda untrue, I cant wear a Celtic Top, a Gaelic Sfirt or Pretty much a lot of stuff without having to watch my back :( ) Anyway, The INTERNET!!!! Can be a very useful tool for aquiring scooters. I admire your dedication to scooters.

it all started at christmas 01 when i was bought a snakeboard scooter, man those were the days when i'd hit the streets and jump off any wall and hit any stair gap. i later switched to bmx after i snapped my scooter, i didnt ride for 2 years after that. just over a year ago i got back into the scene after i bought an old A off ebay. i mainly ride the bowl in arnold and the streets around that. i prefer to grind anythin in sight because my airing is piss poor and only a foot out of the coping
