Your Riding

i started when i was 12, (beginning of 2001) I would always ride with my friends (jeff and nathan) on our kickers and we got good pretty fast.

whips in the first week, doubles in the second, and fingerwhips in about a month.

then after about 3 years of street riding and kickers, we found out about a few skateparks and rode there.

After a few days we got triple tailwhips, and 360 whips and thought we were getting good.

then rvm1 came out and we idolized razor like everyone else, but we still rode to our own beat, and were actually trying to get better than razor haha.

also we saw Scooter Insanity and were amazed that someone else out there is just like us haha <3

my friends quit on me later for some reason, probably because of soccer, and i was a loner lol, but i met eric and anthony at diamond bar and they owned me at park and they way they rode it looked so awesome.

So after riding with eric for a year or so he taught me how to ride park, and i taught him some of my tricks too and we became super chill.

so i rode with him at d-bar and taylor eventually showed up and we rode with him and then started dxg again.

ever since we all met we started to try and meet more and more riders and progress as much as we could and try to help them if we could too.

so now fast forward to 2007, we have 14 amazing riders, and we all are good friends and help each other out in any way we can.

even though i started dxg, the whole team isnt really "owned" or has a "manager". everyone pretty much plays a part in it, and helps each other out, and thats the way things should be.

my riding is a combination of what my friends have inspired me to go out and try along with the pure motivation and rush of scootering..

but i cant even begin with out my friends, i love everyone one dxg and i wouldnt even be anything if it wasnt for them.

sorry for the life story lol.

It all started in march 06 when I found SI (<3!!!) They got me started too, when I was looking to see if there were any good scooter videos on the net (SR had just come back at that moment, so I didnt know much about scootering...) I saw Matt Ogle's micro video no2, and I freaked out and told myself: "I really need to become serious about this scootering stuff."

I went outside tried a tailwhip and got it first try. Then I was like, wtf, I can whip now. Then I started riding every day after school, hitting up street spots, grinding benches and some shit.

My old scooter didnt hold up too long, so I got myself a promodel. I rode on the street in front of my house, having fun. Then I built some ramps at my cottage and rode them for about 2 weeks, till I went back home after summer break :[ .

I continued riding street spots and jumping sets and stuff. Then I started using my other little kicker and progressed real fast. I was November by then. After that, I continued riding and improving. This is about the story behind my first mini :) ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXNSvYt0Ex0 )

Hope you enjoyed.

I started riding in November of 2005. I thought no one else rode a scooter to do tricks. However I just rode street stuff either flatground or just litle gaps or 2 or 3 stairs. I try to ride with as much flow and style as I can. I started riding a little bit of street last year and all I could do was bronce, one hander , X up, manual and no footer. Then I saw that I was becoming better. But I always want to get better. Now I have improved a lot much and am still in the process of that. Thanks everyone apart of SR

well im progressing ok i just learned a bri and a fingerwhip uhh i dont really have a local park because skaters here are dicks (and i refuse to fight, but they will all try to pick fights with anyone whose not a skateboarder) so all i really ride is nice stairs, gaps , and a 1080 ramp nailed to a post (which works pretty well) uhhh me and gnome ride alot together uhhhhh thats it really

I, like 99% of kids in the world, got a scooter in 2000. It was a raptor because only the rich kids had razors then. This girl across the street would give me candy if i like rode down the street and stuff like that. Then one day i learned to bunnyhop down a curb and i was pretty well attached then. I met another kid in about 2001-2002who rode scooters and we did all those no footer tricks and stuff. I remember my signature trick was a no footer on hander rocket x up. I never learned a tailwhip until 2005 but that comes later. Come 2003 this kid moves here from Alaska and brings with him the trend of skateboarding. I kinda stopped scootering and started skateboarding then for about 2 years. I am still ashamed of that choice i made. Then one day my friend called me and he's like "wanned go to the skatepark" so i go and decide to ride my scooter for first time in 2 years (it was a new a, something else i am ahsmed of) We get to the park and im like im gonnna do a tailwhip. It was actually and a heelwhip but i was so proud. Then by chance there was this other scooter kid at the park and i beat him in scoot and well i have basically been scootering since. Boring for you to read this, but fun for me to reminesse. sp?

<3 you guys!

Started in summer of '02

learned whips that week with my friend mike. we started riding all the time, whips flat, jumping off of mailboxes, etc.

than my dad built my small kicker ramp. learned 3 whips, barspins, and so many other tricks. also started riding street.

than about 3 years ago my dad built my big kicker. by this time, it was Me, Mike Bowron, My brother, josh bowron, bryce lorehn, kyle lorehn, steven craig, and a guy named Keith. We all rode and basically SI was kicked off (like 5 months before this). we were so dumb haha

Than about 2 years ago, everyone quit (except for my brother), so i rode with Danny Rangel and Josh Corely. By this time i had gained a decent style and comfort on a scooter and i was learning how to flow. SR got really into my life at this point (or like a year earlier i dont remember)

Than Josh and Danny quit. So i rode alone for about a year. The freepark opened, and i rode there alone alot.

Finally i meet manual and ricky, and we have been riding for about a year and a half now <3<3. and now im here today <3

i dont know if i posted here before but.

i was riding a skate one day and decided to try to scoot. the first things i learned were to cruise the bowl. week later i got whips. then mine and seans and boogie scooting started.

at first i was riding with scott birk, a former old school sr user. his riding sort of influenced me to do like hammers and stuff. and big stuff to flat. so i started flyout like everyone.

the next year the babboons had progressed immensly. by this time i knew more about sr and started becoming a more active user.

my riding was then somewhat influenced by bryant and pate.

next year we learned how to flow the park alot better without pushing and such. learning new air tricks, more combos.

now this year and my style is influened kinda by biking. i like flowing park with like whips, bars, and turndowns. tables. and spine tricks.

each day i work on getting more air. putting more style inro my tricks.

and i like to fuck hips up. any hip thats on my backside side i will fuck up

i think i started riding towards about mid 03'. we had a little crew but most of them quit, now its just me. progression has slowed down alot but still getting better gradually. as for my style, well i think i have a good style thats sort of unique looking. although not alot of people have seen it recently, there will be footage up eventually. i mainly do fakie combos and spine tricks.

I do manuals and fakies a lot, barely any whips and I can't barspin worth crap. I like turndowns too. I don't fingerwhip or scooterflip, and footplants are pretty sweet. I try to nosemanual but I can't, and I can kinda wallride a little.

tried to ride a bike didnt work out to great.

saw this rad cat named alak kittleson roll up on his razor kick scooter

that night cary got one and they made them all hella bomb diggity dope

i got one xmas of 04 learned tailwhips within that week and knew id be riding these things for time to come.

started rad within 2 weeks of starting and knew it was going to kick ass till we stop riding. At peak i think we had around 10 riders or so and basically were down to 3. The OG's Cary, Me, and Alak, sure there are those kids who want to be RAD scooter riders but they dont live it like we OG's do.

now i mainly ride to hangout with the people i ride with.

i hardly push myself to learn new tricks or go balls out anymore because i find it to be frustrating and a waste of time, so i just try and keep my shit smooth.

I see myself quiting soon and maybe start riding bikes (same thing but something a little bigger so i dont look like such an ogar) plus i mainly get bored of the parks around me so i just take pictures and bitch alot about how scooters suck the balls, but yet i love them so much.

ahh this is my most touching post ever.
