Riley: the integrated clamp thing wouldn't work out too well... I highly suggest making a clamp that fits HIC oversized aluminum bars (shouldn't be any harder than making a clamp with a bigger inner/outer diameter) that you can just include with the bars as a package deal. $95 for the aluminum...
