Looking at the picture in the largest size available on flickr makes it seem pretty soft. The picture isn't very sharp, it might be because I'm looking at it in the largest size offered though or just my computer screen.

5DMkIII seems like the better deal. I wish I could find more info on the specifications. All that is released now is very vague and probably subject to change since it hasn't even been announced officially yet.

Well what kind of lens do you want? Wide Angle? Zoom? Prime? Also a lens on a crop sensor body doesn't have a focal length that the lens says, like a 50mm is usually around 75ish. There is tons of lenses you can get Canon brand isn't really cheap though, but there is always the third party...

First one is really nice. The ducks or whatever is in the water though are pretty distracting to me, I would've cloned them out. Composition is nice but seems kinda like the focus is really soft.

The canon 50mm is junk. Don't waist your money on that piece of plastic. Buy a Nikon 50mm and get an adapter or an alternative brand. Also if I'm not mistaken the T2i T3i and 60D all have the EXACT same sensor. AKA the pictures will be exactly the same either cameras. I'm pretty sure the 7D...

Don't get the Nikon for video. If you're shooting that much video get a camera more dedicated to video. Canon caters to video a lot more than Nikon imho. Don't spend more than 100 on a point and shoot camera, even if it has HD video.

I just saw this...but to answer your question yes and no. Megapixels will come in handy when printing your images because the more megapixels the larger image you can print without distortion, but they do not affect the image quality at all. Some cameras have low megapixels but shoot a better...

Personal favorites...

Nikon D70's are great cameras especially for beginers and the 18-70mm kit lens is pretty good for a kit lens, beats the 18-55 made by Nikon and Canon. If you can get a 35mm to go with it.

If you think about it though it really isn't that expensive. It's easy to develop. If you buy a new DSLR that's around a thousand dollars. You could get a stockpile of film for the same price.

Don't sell it, shoot film. Film is really awesome and it's sad that people here can't really appreciate it since they have these t2i's that take mediocre photos in auto mode.
