Hey greg this might be more of a question for brian boston but i'm really getting back into hardcore type music and is there any bands that i've never heard of that is kind of like greeley estates

i dont listen to much of that stuff anymore, but i'd say sky eats airplane, drop dead gorgeous, i set my friends on fire, haste the day, norma jean, heavy heavy low low, the jonbenet, enter shikari, ed gein, and the number 12 looks like you.

those are all decent bands, but i'd definitely recommend checking out at the drive-in, a kiss for jersey, older thrice (the artist in the ambulance is a killer cd), fugazi, kid dynamite, refused, and hot water music.

i threw a bunch out there since i'm sure you've heard of half of them. and i'd definitely recommend checking out that second group of bands that i listed, a lot of them are what make up the roots of post-hardcore. it might take a while to get into them, but they're all really good.

everyone in the entire f*cking world should already listen to them. if not, then they're retarded.

dance music came out of 70s disco, and kinda morphed into the 80s club scene, it is the general title for trance house breakbeat etc

a lot of times they pretty much categorize it by like how many beats per minute it is. but thats some made up bull

i know house is slower than techno and hardcore house is FUCKINGFAST AS HELL HOLYSHITT.

like some people meld trance and gabba/hard house, and that like morefed into hardstyle.

pretty much if its REALLY fast and annoying its hardhouse hardstyle hard trance

if its like annoying monotonous electronic sounds over and over but not that fast, its house

trance is like fast voop voop i cant really explain it, alot of times theyll throw in some samples of people talking and alot of synth. guidos listen to it.

dance music has annoying women singing in it.

techno i cant even describe cuz i dont listen to it, its from detroit and it came from like funk and elecrto jazz or somrthing i dunno but techniaclly it isnt related to house and trance and elecro music in general ppl confuse it.

honestly the only cool stuff is like elecro mixed 'rock'/'alternative' and some house.
the rest of it is club gay.

PS ELECTRONICA IS NOT REAL
ITS A GENERAL TERM BECASUE THIS SHITS SOOOOO CONFUSING

Shelby check on maylene & the sons of disaster for sure.

sorry, but they are a terrible, terrible band. dallas was great in underoath, but maylene just sucks.

Sam Shields said:
and also check on alexisonfire. there kinda hardcore.

i agree with you that alexisonfire is a good band, but they aren't hardcore at all.

but watch out! was a great album, and crisis was solid. they're really nice guys, they put on a great live show, and dallas green has the voice of an angel.

for anyone that likes singer/songwriter stuff, check out city and colour. its the guitarist/singer of alexisonfire, and his solo stuff is brilliant.

Greg and/or Margaret, I would please like to know what are some good albums by reel big fish, and also what are some other good bands that sound kinda similar to them?

Then what do you think alexisonfire is. rock? its to brutal to be rock, but its not awesome enough to be hardcore. I feel like theres something inbetween but im forgetting what its called.

And i dont comprehend your disliking of maylene. i really like caution dangerous curves ahead. and gusty like the wind.
