I wish you shot more film. Pinholes aren't necessarily what I'm talking about.. but it'll do. You'd have so much fun (having a little more control than just a shutter release)

I honestly have only shot film when I was quite young. This term I will be doing a bit of film shooting so hopefully I can put some up when I do.

I've been thinking about getting a 60d for quite a while now, and I only really have one question about it. Is it really grainy at high ISO? That seems to be the only complaint people have about the camera, but I thought pretty much all cameras are at least a little grainy at high ISO so should I even be concerned?

Yes it is a bit grainy at high ISO's but that's with pretty much every camera. Some more than others but there is still going to be grain. But I don't recommend switching from a compact straight to a medium level DSLR I suggest getting a entry level DSLR which will help you learn the basics.

Well I already have an old SLR Camera that I've used a shitload (one of these, but my lens isn't as good as that one. Only has focus and zoom) but it's a film cam and I hate buying film and sending it in to get developed. If I had my own chemicals and darkroom then it wouldn't be so bad but I'd still rather switch to digital.

It sucks all the pictures I took with it were lost when my old computer shit the bed.

I've heard good things about the t2i's. I'm gonna be doing a lot of filming of friends too and the swively screen on the 60d is so nice for it. I filmed a guy at Skatebarn with his 60d once it was niiiiice. Plus it has amazing video quality. You could suck ass at riding and that camera will make you look like a beast.

t2i and the 60d has the same video image quality depending on which lens you are using. But I do use the swivel screen a lot. I've only filmed without it once!
